I like the concept, but this is more bug than game. I’m honestly kind of surprised to see that others didn’t encounter as many issues as I did, or at least they didn’t mention any of them.

A lot of mechanics repeatedly broke when using mouse and keyboard (Camera rotation, charged attacks, etc.), which is confusing as the Steam page states “Partial controller support”, indicating that mouse and keyboard was the intended method of play.
If you pause or start reading a note while the narrator is speaking, you softlock the game and have to reboot it to continue.
If you rest or move to a different area after collecting all the keys but before opening the chest, you get permanently locked out of the fourth heart.
Bombs can fall through the ground when you throw them, damaging your character.
The mechanic for escaping Clotgor’s stun doesn’t work, and if you die whilst stunned in the boss room, rebooting the game will spawn you in the arena and the boss won’t attack you. If you make it to phase two, the game will crash and you have to start from the beginning again to fix the issue.
Marvin didn’t have any audio play during his opening cutscene, his health bar was missing, and I managed to break his AI in the second phase.
Dvarg’s cutscene also didn’t play any audio. His concept’s kinda cool, but the actual fight goes on WAY too long, and it’s hard to tell if you’re actually doing it correctly due to a lack of healthbar or damage indicators.
There’s a secret in Dvarg’s area that is just impossible to get to. You’re meant to get to it by moving on some platforms at the end of the area, but the platforms move through a kill plane, so that doesn’t work. Alternatively, there’s a wall you can blow up to get in, but you can’t get any bombs there fast enough to do it.
The game itself has a myriad of other issues which aren’t bug-related, but I feel like they're not even worth mentioning until the game’s in a playable state. Unfortunately I’m unable to comment on every aspect of the game as I got stuck in the fourth boss arena and couldn’t continue to the final encounter.

"Seeking Light" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from ESAT in Valencia, Spain. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This abandoned student project is a mishmash of action, adventure, and puzzle elements, leaning heavily on a boss-rush gameplay style. You take on the role of a little girl, Sunny, as she fights physical manifestations of her fears, which presumably include never getting a job in the gaming industry because you couldn't be bothered finishing the game you made for your portfolio, but you published it on Steam anyway to make sure any prospective employers see how bad your work ethic is. And while it might seem unfair to take a jab at the students for dumping Early Access stuff on Steam then running, with absolutely no intent to finish their job, we have to remember, once more, we're the customers here. Abuse of Early Access like this is harmful. It makes it harder for gamers to find completed games from more ethical developers. It gives amateur developers a bad (worse) name. It makes it harder for those rare cases where amateur developers who did the right thing to find their audience, because they're the ones who have to compete with these student projects for visibility. So, the developers abandoned this 2 years and 4 months ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. The controls and gameplay are pretty weak... obviously designed for consoles but launched on Steam for no reason other than "it's easier and Steam Direct has no QA", there's been no consideration about what would give us PC gamers a decent gaming experience. And it doesn't deliver one. It's also riddled with bugs that will never be fixed, and lacks crucial, basic levels of polish. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. It would be unethical for students to try charge money for their homework assignments, so you don't have to pay any money for this. But you'd still have to spend your time downloading this, and "time is money", as they say. So much for the matter of pricing. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 7 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. There's no financial cost up-front, but you'd still be spending your time and a little hard drive space on a product that's far from the best. There's thousands of better alternatives on Steam.
Sadly, I wasn't able to get as far into this game as I had hoped, having to replay the game twice due to a bug where I got stuck outside of the level giving messy up my save point. Still suggest others give a game a try for a few minutes, because outside of the issue I came across, it has a fantastic top-down environment design and ghostly, dark lighting alongside an interesting premise of fighting your fears, literally, from clowns and spiders with a simple ability, such as throwing an object or 'taking a deep breath' to stun enemies. This game is still in Early Access, so hopefully, most of the bugs would get sorted as well as the developer adding more abilities and enemies varieties to keep the game interesting, in the meantime, I'll definitely be returning to be playing this game again after the Early Access, so expect this review to be updated.
It... could be better. My mouse cursor randomly will not appear and Sunny will be locked aiming in a single direction. Once that happens, I need to open and close the pause menu to make it reappear. There seem to be many spots without softlock protection.

Recomiendo probarlo. Además, es gratis :P
