Legendary Highwayman
Juro Jánošík – a thief who took from the rich and gave to the poor, leader of a band of highwaymen and a Slovak legend. He and his gang never killed any of their victims. Everything was going well, but one day Juro finds out that one of his best men is imprisoned in one of Slovakia's many castles. He decides to help him no matter what, and this is where your adventure begins. The first castle is Strečno. Here you will learn the basics of the game: how to control your character and what to do. Your main task is to find enough ducats and give them to the villagers. There are also two optional objectives. The first is to find and free captives, and the second is to find resources to build a camp, which will give you two points to boost your stats: health, speed, stamina and strength. There are only five camps, so you can't max out all your stats. Use your points wisely. Resources are water, which gives you unlimited stamina for a moment, bread and carrots, which regenerate your health, rope and ammunition for your pistol. You can also find a bomb. At each level, two obstacles will complicate your journey. The first are simple puzzles to open doors and the second are guards called pandours. You're not a killer, so you can't eliminate them, but you can stun them with your shepherd's axe or pistol, and for large groups, the bomb is very effective. They won't stay stunned forever, so don't forget to tie them up with rope if you have any. Other pandours can also wake up or untie their companions. I enjoyed this style because it was different from other games and you can try to be stealthy or knock everyone out, but there is one problem - the controls. They are weird and I made a lot of mistakes because the mapping of the gamepad is not as natural as in other games. For example, when you want to leave your inventory, you have to press the view button instead of pressing B, which drops an item, or A should be for picking up items, not attacking, and X should be for punching. Some refactoring here would be nice. I would also like to see some information about each castle. You can pick a map and then look at it in the inventory or the main menu, but there is no information about the history or anything like that. Maybe some static images when you enter a level would be nice, like at the beginning of the story. The game's visuals are simple, but good, along with pleasant music. Only the interiors of the ten castles and dungeons could be more unique. They are too repetitive. So, do I recommend the game? I can say yes, but there is room for improvement. It is a decent short game (5-7 hours) that gives you a simple but good audiovisual, a different combat style and some Slovak folklore.

Juro Janosik 6.5/10

[th] 🟢 Different combat style 🟢 Simple, but good audiovisual 🟢 Slovak folklore [/th][th] 🔴 Weird controls 🔴 Repeating interiors 🔴 Missing information about castles [/th]

Príjemná oddychová hra v ktorej sa ujmete najslávnejšieho slovenského zbojníka Ďuriho Jánošíka, ktorý bohatým bral a chudobným dával 😎 Prebehnete celým Slovenskom 🇸🇰 ponavštevujete najznámejšie hrady a zámky 🏰 vyplieskate nejedného šuhaja a pozbíjate ich do posledného groša 💰 V skratke ste zbojník jak sa patrí 😁
This is an amazing game, so happy I found it and could enjoy playing it. Also my viewers on stream liked it very much. It is very unique thanks to the theme and protagonist. I played on the easy difficulty as I am not a skilled fighter and this difficulty was great for me - please beware once you select difficulty at the beginning, you cannot change it later in game. I missed possibility to change controller button mapping in the game, but in the end I found some way to use customization of controller mapping via steam settings. Otherwise it was pleasure to play, enjoyed every minute of it including mini-games, catchy music and beautiful visual design. I am very proud every time I find well-made game that was developed by Slovak or Czech people. I wish there were more games like this. I had to search more about the creator as I was curious who it was and if there were more games he'd developed so I found out he had made this game in his free time besides his main job and besides taking care of his wife and child. I assume Peter Jurkovský must be God of time management. It is almost tempting to try and create my own game, just to see if I could also become God of time management. LoL :D Anyways, I miss Janosik ever since I finished the game... which I guess says it all. Thank you Peter!
7,80 TL ye yapılabilecek güzel bir şey robin hood oluyorsun falan güzel oyun

It's a fun game to play, but... Juro Janosik is a video game about a Slovak highwayman. Janosik is usually compared to historical figures like Robin Hood. I don't want to get into details because, you guessed it, that's a Steam review, and I should talk about the actual game. As I said, we can compare Juro Janosik to Robin Hood. The main objective of this game is to collect gold and give it to the poor villagers. As a player, you have ten castles to visit and plunder them. Those castles exist in modern Slovakia and look similar to those in the real world. What about the gameplay? Well... As I started, it was a fun game to play. Combat is simple and entertaining, as are the puzzles (Except for one segment in Zborov). So where is the problem? Let's start with bugs. Things like unconscious pandurs "flowing" toward the bell are incredibly annoying. Sometimes, the game does not register hits to enemies. I fell from the map because I was looking for a map and realized it was in one of the villagers' houses (The small alley behind the rock, close to castle doors). Sometimes pandurs can see you when you are behind them. That's all, maybe I missed something. Let's talk about the most annoying thing in this game: Canons. Pandurs can see from a specific distance determined by the day cycle, but canons say: F*CK YOU! I CAN SEE YOU FROM A MILE AWAY AND TRACK YOUR EVERY MOVE! It's easy to dodge those balls, but I mentioned one segment early in the review. You must cross a small area with wooden moving walls that push you towards water. Sound simple? Yes, the Developer thought the same and put a canon at the end of this small section. Puzzles should be challenging but not absurdly difficult, where you must be lucky to avoid something. To sum up, Juro Janosik is a fun game to play, but you have to be aware that it has issues. Also, I am not saying it's a bad game if those things are not scaring you. You can try it.
Jedna z najlepších indie hier aké som hral. Samozrejme ma ešte viac potešilo, že hru robilo slovenské štúdio. Perfektná hra ako pre deti tak aj dospelých :)
