About

Bloodthirsty hordes of demons, criminals, clowns, and undead have flooded the streets of the once semi-relevant metropolis. The pantheon of the most famous and charming superheroes are dead or AWOL. Who's left? Well, uh… you guys are. Pick a 'hero' and fight to save Mayor McTrinkle and the, like, two untouched buildings left in the city. You know the drill: step up to the plate for once in your life, pick a sidekick, improve your super-hero game, and survive at least until one of the other Second Rates wakes up at noon and takes over your shift. Keep it up and maybe you'll get your own comic one day... if there was anyone left to write it. With intricate, interwoven and deep gameplay, crazy weapon combos, 20 heroes, 4 sidekicks, 4 levels, 3 difficulties, more than 400 upgrade cards, 82 permanent upgrades, and sweet, sweet hand drawn art – you’ll die over and over from anything but boredom. Ain’t nothing wholesome here: be prepared for a heart pounding urban adventure that juices up the action roguelike genre.

A new twist on the genre, giving you a Taunt mechanic and the use of Turrets to defend the Mayor, rather than just yourself.
Choose from 20 heroes (16 of which are unlockable), each of which plays entirely different.
Choose from 5 different sidekicks / unpaid interns with different bonuses - provided they stick around.
20 minute anxiety inducing runs which can be made even harder with certain in-game cards or purchasable bonuses.
Combine 18 Core weapons, 12 Rare weapons, 4 Superweapons, and 4 Side weapons at your fancy.
Over 400 ‘cards’ to choose from, in multiple rarities.
Metaprogression in the form of 84 permanent upgrade points, plus purchasable one-time items, to turn your Second Rates into eventual First Rates.
86 unlockable weapons, cards, lore and even music.
4 different stages in 3 different difficulties.
18 heart-pounding musical tracks
Hours upon hours of frustration, challenge, and heart-pounding fun.
100% original hand drawn art.

Potential Future Roadmap:
New Stages.
New Unlocks.
Multiple new heroes that must be unlocked with late game achievements.
New weapons.

This is a lot of game for a small price - plenty of grind, upgrades that actually make a difference, characters that are noticeably different, and there are side-kicks.
For now I give this game Thumbs Up. The artstyle is decent, alternative superheroes look fun. The dealt and received hits have good feedback with added gore in fight. There is alot of Upgrade cards with random quality, passives, skills and some risk/reward option. You can choose a sidekick who follow you and give some passive buff in battle. The gameplay is smooth. My issue, what is rather just a personal preference, that this not a traditional survivor bullet heaven as it have a twist where you need to protect a stationary NPC in whole fight. Not my taste. However the game feels promising and maybe we can have somekind of alternative game mode wthout NPC defense.
I'm waiting for more games from this developer, but this one won't be at my disk anymore. As it is in another game from this dev - the UI is very unpolished, in the game itself everything is blended with the background (and it's very hard to search over the screen for the character) and the game needs more QoL improvements and someone with good QA knowledge to help. Also every track from the OST has this insanely hard kick which is killing me.
A great blend of Bullet Hell/Reverse Bullet Hell, tower defense, and roguelite. Upgrade system is impactful. The unlocks bring a nice alt progression. Overall, a great time spender at a great price.
I am enjoying this game immensely. Usually, games like this barely reach the 5 hour mark with me, but this one? It's a slow grind that refuses to hold my hand. Not many people would enjoy this type, but it is for me. Can't wait to see what else is in store.
A fair poor vampire survivor game. So many of the weapons feel down right unusable. The UI is clunky. Doesn't feel fun to play.
You can literally buy this game with the change you forgot in your pants and get almost 100 hours of content. Second-rate superheroes, first-rate game.
This game is a fun Survivors-like with a twist where you have to protect the Mayor. You get two extra abilities to do that on top of the standard fare. One is Turrets, which I really enjoyed using, and a Taunt ability that makes enemies come after you instead. I thought this was also a fun new mechanic. Also the Hero backstories when you unlock them are quite good and fun to read. I really enjoyed my time with the game and recommend it.
The game has become quite enjoyable after some updates. You still need to grind to make life easier but at least now it's worthwhile, plus some unlockable characters are real fun. A thumb up for game developer for all the efforts. Would now recommend this game for anyone who may share some early game patience. Old comment: The game's difficulty ruins the game hard even with hours of grinding cash for upgrades. Ultimate is impossible to use for the bar barely charges itself to like 30% 10 mins after start. Will continue playing just for the good lookings of heroes.
