About

Welcome to SCUM, a ruthless open-world survival game where prisoners are dropped onto a vast, hostile island and forced to survive by any means necessary.
Every decision shapes who you become and how long you last. Scavenge, loot, craft, hunt, build and fight for every advantage as you adapt to a world that wants you dead.
Stay alive. Stay dangerous. Become something harder to kill.
SCUM is built on deep, interconnected survival systems that give every choice weight.
Your health, survival skills, metabolism, and fatigue are all shaped by an intricate progression system that defines how long you last.
But you’re not alone out here. Former contestants re-animated as Puppets shamble across the land, mutated experiments twisted into monsters lurk in the dark, and every other player has the same goal as you: Survive long enough to leave a mark.
Risk-taking, high-stakes and tragedy all make for a great show. In SCUM your actions directly shape how you are perceived through the world’s reputation system.
Team-up or go it alone. SCUM gives you the systems, what you do with them is up to you.
You're trapped on a vast and dangerous island built for opportunity and discovery, so scavenge what you need and craft what you don’t have.
SCUM’s 225㎢ map is inspired by all aspects of Croatian territory. Sprawling across beautiful Adriatic coastline, lush forests and harsh freezing mountain sides. Explore high-security military zones and hidden corners of the island, all offering something worth claiming or something worth fearing.
The prisoners who look beyond the next meal may begin to understand what’s really going on here, if they live long enough.
If you can survive here, you can survive anywhere.
Do you have what it takes?
Massive open world with diverse and dangerous environments
Deep character customization, metabolism and survival simulation systems
Complex crafting, looting and base building
PvP and PvE with no fixed progression path
Persistent character development and skill growth
A live-broadcast survival premise with real attitude
Ongoing development with expanding systems and world depth

Spent 10 hours getting to the point where i could get a vehicle with my buddies. went into the town to buy some stuff for it and some guy instantly sold it to the mechanic as soon as i got out because I didn't have a lock on it. Told me to "learn the game f*****." quickest uninstall of my life do not touch this game with a 10 foot pole.
Multiplay is so unstable, it's infuriating. Get a plane? YAY, "server disconnect", dead, plane blows up, lose all your Sh*t. Lets go to a bunker! YAY, "server disconnect", get murdered by the swarm, lose all your Sh*t. Pointless to plan crap games like this that are so unstable you lose hours and hours of work by no fault of your own. Screw this trash. Screw this dev team. Luckily I bought it on sale for $15, still not even worth that.
尸体消失bug什么时候才能修复?开着车被NPC一枪打死,跑回来捡装备但是尸体消失了!!
No, we're no longer having a great experience with SCUM. Those days are unfortunately long gone. I'm saying this as someone who has invested nearly 1,500 hours into this game. At this point, I'm just frustrated. Instead of finally addressing shortcomings that have been discussed for years, adding mod support, reworking animations, improving AI and spawn behavior, and implementing features that would actually move the game forward from a technical standpoint, we're getting a Hunter update and cosmetic DLCs that nobody asked for. Yes, I can ignore those DLCs and I don't have to buy them, but what I want to see is this game being properly maintained and improved. Instead, we're getting cosmetic skin packs that cost €20. Sorry, dear developers, but it's hard not to suspect that Gamepires' takeover of this game was ultimately about squeezing more money out of the player base. I'm perfectly willing to spend money on cosmetics if it helps support the developers and contributes to improving the game. But €20? Seriously? I just bought a skin pack for another game with roughly the same amount of content as your Hunter DLC, and it cost me €3.40. €20 for a cosmetic DLC is more than half of what I paid for the entire game! I feel exploited, and my patience has finally run out. I haven't played for two months now and have moved on to other games where I actually get the impression that the developers are constantly working on technical improvements instead of releasing overpriced DLCs that nobody needs. You promised to keep developing and improving this game, but I don't see any evidence of that. Hunter skins and furniture do absolutely nothing for me. They are not what made me love this game in the first place. You've burned through a lot of goodwill on my end, and it's going to be very difficult to earn that back. Right now, I see absolutely no reason to launch this game again. If you want to bring me—and many others—back to SCUM, it's going to take a hell of a lot more than a Hunter expansion and vague, grandiose announcements without any concrete details. Why not do what other developers do and publish a roadmap that clearly shows what players can actually expect in the future? But as long as you continue charging outrageous prices for cosmetic DLCs while leaving the game in its current technical state... sorry, but no thanks.!
After almost 2,500 hours of this game Official servers are full of Chinese players. You can't find a single vehicle or boat. The Chinese sell them for five times the price. The only way to play the game is on private servers or in sandbox. And then, if the game crashes while you're driving any vehicle… For example, if it's a plane, when you restart the game, you spawn in the air without a parachute and not even in the plane. RIP you. If you're in a boat, you spawn before the boat and sink into the water if you're too heavy. And the game really loves to crash.
Supposedly this was supposed to be fun still in single player... i have kids i can't glue myself to a game for 6 hours straight y'know? The BIGGEST LIE--->>>>>> “Scum has a rare crafting system, a wonder of the modern age perhaps, that doesn’t force players to jump through hoops or spend hours engaged in busywork. And it does this all while maintaining an air of realism.” Rock Paper Shotgun Literally takes like 20 minutes to make your first bow. You cut a bush,"progress bar", it drops short sticks and long sticks. Break down long sticks"progress bar". Craft one piece of branch rope "progress bar". Repeat 10 more times. then you might have enough rope to make the first bow of the game. The tutorial is beyond painful. then you realize, there are only a few zombies"puppets" wondering around. Towns are so far to walk. It uses a resident evil style inventory system but you lose slots as your clothes get damaged which happens when the wind blows. this game is ass. And it was expensive even on sale. I really tried to like this one but it feels like its from 2010.
The awful raid mechanics and amount of Chinese cheaters make this game one of the worst I have ever played. 0/10 don't buy.
ass game
What can I say. I love a game that’s slightly broken. The crafting, looting, and base building are good. Played for 2 weeks before I actually got my first PVP kill. It has easy loot runs. The game has some heart pounding moments. It’s not nearly as stressful as say Tarkov. It’s forgiving. Expect to give it some time before you have a decent handle on it. Spent my first week on foot and when I finally got a vehicle which was a dirt bike I felt like John Connor in the Terminator. I really felt like a kid again. I recommend. 7.5/10
Very poor multiplayer Implementation. Devs refuse to send 1 email to get added to Proton's EAC, so people who use the game through proton can still play with anticheat enabled. They don't even need to reprogram or pay for anything, its just a request to be added to the whitelist. Not even 2 minutes of work for something that has been available to them since 2021: https://store.steampowered.com/news/group/4145017/view/3104663180636096966 Then the devs allow people to setup servers without EAC, but they don't allow people browse for them unless using the windows version of EAC. Not that some 10 year outdated anticheat system does anything to stop cheaters anyway.
