About

Kings love fast cars, crazy creations, and crashes. Let’s find out why!

Build cars with combustion or electric engines, or maybe both? You design the powertrain using axles, gears and suspensions to get the power from the engines through the wheels and onto the asphalt. Whether you build rear-wheel-drive, or power all 30 wheels of your speed machine, as long as you engineer a gear transmission, you are guaranteed to go!

Design and engineer your own car, truck, tank, plane or whatever you can think of in the easy-to-use build editor. Whether you have 4 wheels, 16 wheels, propellers, pistons, or 50 engines... vehicle construction is all yours!
Realistic or ridiculous – it’s up to you!

There’s a group of fancy royals convinced they have the best cars in the world, and who better than you to prove them wrong! Each monarch uses different building blocks to activate special mechanical features in their vehicles. Challenge them and beat their creations to unlock new engines, wheels and gears.

Take your top turbo-powered creations, start up a multiplayer server, and invite your friends to race around the island together in a variety of tracks and challenges!

Screw Drivers is an ambitious blend of vehicle construction, physics-based racing, and sandbox experimentation developed by Creactstudios and published by Headup. Instead of placing players behind the wheel of predesigned cars, the game hands them a collection of parts and asks them to build their own solutions from the ground up. The result is a title that feels equal parts engineering simulator and arcade racer, offering a refreshing take on a genre that often relies on licensed vehicles and traditional progression systems. Its Early Access status is evident in places, but the foundation is compelling enough to make it stand out among modern indie racing games. At the center of the experience is an extensive building system that encourages creativity. Players assemble vehicles using a wide assortment of mechanical pieces, from engines and wheels to suspension systems and structural blocks. Every decision has consequences, as weight distribution, traction, and overall design directly influence performance on the track. The game does an admirable job of making experimentation worthwhile. One build might excel at straight-line speed but struggle around corners, while another sacrifices velocity for durability and balance. This constant cycle of designing, testing, and refining becomes surprisingly addictive, especially for players who enjoy tinkering with systems and discovering unconventional solutions. The single-player content provides a clear sense of direction through a campaign filled with colorful opponents and progressively challenging events. New parts are unlocked over time, giving players additional tools to improve their creations and tackle increasingly demanding races and obstacle courses. Rather than simply asking players to drive faster, Screw Drivers often challenges them to rethink their engineering approach. Certain tracks favor agility, while others reward stability or resilience, ensuring that no single vehicle design dominates every situation. This progression system keeps the gameplay loop engaging and prevents the sandbox elements from becoming aimless. Physics play a major role in making every race entertaining. Vehicles react naturally to uneven terrain, collisions, and poor construction choices, often producing hilarious results. A misplaced wheel or an imbalanced chassis can send a vehicle tumbling across the map, while a carefully engineered machine feels immensely satisfying to control. The destruction mechanics add another layer of excitement, transforming crashes into memorable moments instead of simple failures. Screw Drivers understands that chaos is part of its appeal, and it embraces that unpredictability with confidence. The multiplayer component significantly enhances the overall package. Competing against friends or showcasing custom vehicles online creates a sense of community that complements the game's creative focus. Steam Workshop support expands this even further by allowing players to share their inventions with others. It is fascinating to see the range of creations produced by the community, from practical racing machines to wildly impractical contraptions that somehow still function. This social element gives the game a level of longevity that extends beyond its campaign and encourages players to continually revisit and improve their designs. Despite its strengths, Screw Drivers is not without flaws. The building tools can feel overwhelming for newcomers, particularly those unfamiliar with vehicle mechanics. Tutorials provide a starting point, but there is still a notable learning curve before players feel comfortable with advanced construction techniques. As an Early Access title, occasional technical issues and interface inconveniences remain present, and some areas could benefit from additional polish. However, the development team appears committed to expanding and refining the experience, which bodes well for its future. Visually, the game opts for a bright and accessible presentation that complements its sandbox identity. The environments are clean and functional, allowing players to focus on their creations without unnecessary distractions. Sound design is serviceable, with engines, impacts, and environmental effects contributing to the overall atmosphere. While neither the visuals nor the audio push technical boundaries, they effectively support the gameplay and maintain a lighthearted tone throughout the experience. Screw Drivers succeeds because it understands the joy of building something with your own hands and watching it come to life. It offers a satisfying combination of creativity, competition, and emergent gameplay that few racing titles attempt. Although there is still work to be done before it reaches its full potential, its current state already delivers a unique and entertaining experience for players willing to invest time in mastering its systems. Those who enjoy sandbox games, physics-driven challenges, and engineering-focused mechanics will find plenty to appreciate here. Rating: 8/10

I loved this game so much with all the gearboxes and cool parts, but with the recent official release they locked the sandbox mode behind a campaign boss. I bought this game so I could have fun building cars and planes, not so much for the story. love this game, but I just can't recommend it if you just want to use sandbox.
WAS loving it until they locked creative mode behind a progression wall.
stop pretending that your game is finished.
ui is sloppy and now the game is out of early access, you have to finish the career to play creative/sandbox now
as a free game? yes i would recomend this game to try as it is fun and has a lot of potential depending on how much you know about gear ratios and car desighn, a fun 40 or so hours of somewhat chalenging races that force you to develop your car desighning skills alongside your racing skills as a 7$ paid game? ♥♥♥♥ no christ this game's achevements were broken before i even got here let alone the 'ghosts' witch up until they gone out of early access didnt even exist for 90% of races and even when they do show up they ♥♥♥♥ right off to nobody knows and the chalange it self ends up being a freebe because a lot of the new race's they added dont even have proper time's for the bronze and silver medals the worst parts being the new ones they added, being the clutch which btw doesnt even have a proper description and the devs were so slopy they didnt even check if the translations are working properly not that a clutch even makes a diference in vehecle performance anyway another thing, early game parts suck ass with a lot of it locked behind aditional chalanges based on vehecle specifications inside the tech tree itself that i would be more forgiving of if the chalanges were actualy chalanging instead of being pidgen holed into using a specific set of parts or simply ceasing to matter once you get into the mid to late game because the specifications for the late game parts are so lax that you can just use your regular car and it would still be able to unlock it Even if this game does go on discount, just dont. im pretty sure that you wont even recieve the suporters pack dlc if you do pay for the game
Ok, this game was fun, it really was. At least in early access. Im saying this because in early access, you could do creative freely and instantly. Now they make you do the campaign to unlock it. I would love to have a positive review but i just can't. You ruined the creative freedom of the game and i can't hcange this review until it is fixed.
если что то вам не понятно, то купите пару наборов лего техник и пособирайте разные механизмы часов 20 и тогда вы сможете создать простейшую машину без коробки передач
This game provides a unique blend of sandbox building and competitive racing gameplay. It's fun, but janky. If you like games like Besiege, GearBlocks, BeamNG, or other vehicle building / sim games, you might like this one. Not worth 8 bucks, especially considering the 8 bucks doesn't include the dlc's. This used to be a free early access game with a few DLC addons to support the devs, it is now an unfinished paid experience with unfinished and/ or broken dlcs to add on. I'd say its worth like 3 bucks in its current state, and don't bother with the dlc, it barely adds anything.
The concept is very cool and fun. But the UI and controls make it unplayable.
