Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best RU #94, worst PL #97 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.43/day in the week to Sep 1 → 32.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun, really fun. But, is SUPER GLITCHY sometimes
A Scrap Mechanic Review From a Game Developer
I've owned Scrap Mechanic for a couple of years now, and I can honestly say I've never been happier with a game purchase.
Creativity and Engineering
I've developed games myself, so I have a pretty good understanding of how much work goes into building and maintaining a game like this. From that perspective, Scrap Mechanic is genuinely impressive. The building system, physics, automation, creativity, and sheer freedom the game gives you make it a truly unique experience. One of the things I appreciate most is that Scrap Mechanic challenges you at your own level. The game doesn't require you to understand complicated logic, engineering, or automation to enjoy it. You can be six years old, place some blocks together, build a little car, and have an absolute blast. At the same time, someone with years of experience can build incredibly complicated machines, automated systems, vehicles, factories, and contraptions. What's amazing is that both players are playing the same game, at the same capacity. Neither one is playing a "simplified" version. The difference is simply how far their own creativity and understanding take them. That's something I don't think any other game accomplishes like Scrap Mechanic. Most games have a predetermined difficulty curve that tells you how you're supposed to progress. Scrap Mechanic is different. You set your own difficulty. If you want to build a simple house, you can. If you want to spend hours figuring out why a complicated mechanical system isn't working, you can do that too. One of my favorite things is that my creations don't always work the way I expect them to. Instead of that being frustrating, Scrap Mechanic gives you the opportunity to figure out why something isn't working and fix it yourself. There's a genuine sense of engineering and problem-solving involved, even if you've never had any experience with either. The game naturally encourages you to experiment, learn, and develop those skills as you play. You can start with a simple vehicle and eventually find yourself designing complicated machines, contraptions, factories, automated systems, or entire creations completely from your own ideas—and building them from the ground up.
The Development
I know not everyone feels the same way about the game's development or its updates, and that's fair. Everyone has their own expectations, but Scrap Mechanic will deliver. From my perspective, it's clear that the developers have continued putting a tremendous amount of work into Scrap Mechanic, both with and without the support of the community, for well over a year. Development on a game this ambitious isn't easy, and I think that deserves recognition. Nothing is more amazing than seeing a game you purchased in its earliest stages continue to receive meaningful bug fixes (that you actually experience), improvements, and eventually a major update that had been teased for so long actually become a reality. Seeing something you've experienced and enjoyed for years continue to evolve is something I genuinely appreciate. That takes serious dedication from the developers, and for that alone, my hat is off to them. They are very dedicated to their community, and their game. I will forever be a fan of Scrap Mechanic. I can rest easy knowing that the developers are building something that has the potential to become a truly lasting, generational game. I know it has been for me, both a core childhood memory, and now something I enjoy as an adult.
A Game You Don't "Finish"
What I appreciate most is that Scrap Mechanic doesn't feel like a game I've simply "finished." I can come back months—or even years—later, come up with some ridiculous idea, and suddenly have another project to work on. The game has continued to serve as a creative outlet for me, and that's something I value far more than simply having endless content.
The Bottom Line
Scrap Mechanic has been a genuinely unique experience for me, and even after owning it for years, it still gives me reasons to come back and build something new. For the price I paid, I've gotten countless hours of entertainment, creativity, and problem-solving out of it, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone who enjoys building, engineering, automation, problem-solving, or just simply being creative. As the developers say: "In Scrap Mechanic, there is no right or wrong. There's only your creativity." And honestly, I think that's what makes this game so special. A six-year-old can pick up Scrap Mechanic and enjoy it without needing to understand anything about engineering. A seasoned builder can open the same game and spend hundreds of hours designing systems that would challenge them to understand physics, logic, automation, mechanical principles, and the game itself. The game meets you where you are and grows with you. That's incredibly rare. I can easily see myself still playing Scrap Mechanic 20 years from now. I just wish I had more time to play it today, as this will forever be a favorite game of mine.
I got this game for my birthday in 2024 after the original survival came out, yet still way before the full game came out, and I am still actively playing this game to this day. Half of my hours came from after the full survival came out, which is about 300 hours, most of the time was condensed into this little time. The new update genuinely gave so much new content, it gave quests, achievements, and, most importantly, an end goal, and yet, the game was still peak even before the update. The game used to cost $29.99, and now it costs $39.99 after the new update, it was most definitely worth it before the price increase, and still is even after. If you like survival games with quests and aspects of semi-automation, grinding, and base building/defending, this game is for you, this game is for everyone. Also go check out Trailmakers.
The game is quirky and takes some getting used to, but it's a lot of fun... for a while. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the game in its current state due to the lack of optimization of the physics which makes the game unplayable and, as another reviewer put it, there's more unnecessary friction with game mechanics than challenge. My friend and I started a new game after the 1.0 release and have been enjoying it. We built several vehicles, each with different uses, built an auto-gardener that harvests, plants, and waters 863 plots of soil along, and built a simple elevator to easily access the garden. We'd just reached the underground and were excited for new equipment and build possibilities. The lag had gotten worse and worse over time, but we apparently crossed some sort of threshold and now the physics have started freaking out. We tried various physics setting to no avail. We can't even use our vehicles any more, the elevator slumps over sideways, and we dare not try the auto-gardener. The foundation of the game is to engineer cool contraptions using physics, but it breaks after a few builds and makes the game unplayable. Until the devs optimize the physics, I suggest refraining from playing this game very extensively. Other issues: There's also no dedicated server, which is ridiculous. Trashbot is a bullet hell boss which doesn't belong in this type of game. If I wanted to play a bullet hell shooter, I'd play a different game. You can defeat him easily by building a platform above the floor, so at least there's that. The grind is also too much. The player can make everything except Component Kits, which are probably the most important resource the player needs. Some robots *might* drop one when destroyed. There's apparently no way to deconstruct crafted items back into their component parts. When a piece is destroyed it's simply gone rather than deconstructed into its component parts. Seeker Bot is initially a really cool idea -- a giant, untouchable machine that can easily destroy the player and anything the player has built -- but you quickly realize the bot is just annoying and doesn't really seem to serve a purpose other than to hassle the players and force them to shelter until the bot passes.
топчик. разнесли огород в хлам
Я успел закончить школу и первый курс в колледже и после стольких лет эта игра скоро выйдет :)
I remember being a kid when I first saw videos about this game being a thing. Now 10 years later I actually have had the money to play it for myself and I'm not disappointed
