Scotland Yard – Hunting Mister X

Leider hat selbst die schwere KI das Spiel nicht verstanden. Sie bewegt sich weder in deine Richtung noch tut sie sonst etwas sinnvolles, sie fährt einfach solange Taxi bis sie sich nicht mehr bewegen kann. Online spielen geht leider nicht, nur lokal. Werde das Spiel zurück geben.

Well, well, well - AI players don't work at all (they never get close to catch Mr. X, even when set to difficult and they run out of taxi tickets real quick resulting in 2 or 3 AI players being stuck from mid-game till the end) - There's no online mode So yet you only can play it offline with friends sitting next to you or using third party software like Parsec or Discord to play it with shared screen and remote input. Also, it's very difficult to see where everyone's located because the map is very colorful and uses the same colors as the player markers. Update: More than a year after the release, yet they still didn't introduce online multiplayer to let us play with our friends.

Scotland Yard – Auf der Jagd nach Mister X: Endlich ein Spiel, das die Frage beantwortet: 'Wie viel Spaß kann man haben, wenn man eine künstliche Intelligenz baut, die scheinbar beim ersten Computer-Kurs ausgestiegen ist? Während das Brettspiel ein Meisterwerk der Spannung und Strategie ist, schafft es diese Umsetzung, all das zu eliminieren und uns mit einer 'intelligenten' Gegner-KI zurückzulassen, die offenbar ihre Bewegungen mit einem Münzwurf entscheidet. Und obwohl es einen Hauch von Nostalgie für Fans des Originals gibt, bleibt das hier leider ein Paradebeispiel dafür, wie man ein klassisches Spielgefühl digital völlig gegen die Wand fahren kann. Holt das Brettspiel aus dem Schrank, ladet eure Freunde ein und lasst die digitale Version lieber da, wo sie hingehört – tief in der digitalen Versenkung. (oder nutzt den Table Top Simulator)

I love the original board game and i thought this would of been fun to play with friends online but its not online play untill you make it online play i will be refunding this

Naja, das Brettspiel gefällt mir eigentlich ganz gut. So als Zeitvertreib für zwischendurch habe ich es mir nun für den PC gekauft. Nun kurve ich als Mister X durch die Stadt. Die KI-Gegner, alle auf schwer, kurven planlos irgendwo anders durch die Stadt. Gefährlich wird es nie. Langweilig. Mit menschlichen Gegner ist das Spiel sicher so spannend wie das Brettspiel. Da das scheinbar nur mit geteiltem Controller möglich ist (keine Online-Funktion), kann man auch gleich beim Brettspiel bleiben.

So yeah, just like everyone had said before, no online gameplay mode and the AI is a joke whether it's playing as Mr. X or the detectives. I won playing both sides on Hard mode very easily. But what really disgusts me is the forced fake inclusivity of the Scotland Yard detective characters; they have two androgynous white characters, one black man, one black woman, and one Asian woman with a dog because God forbid we stick with traditional characters; no, everything has to be inclusive these days. Barf!

AI in this game is an absolute joke. No suspense whatsoever.

Just bought the game. Went though the 3 tutorials. Having never played it I am intimidated by the board game. I did just pick up a nice version of the Ravensburger game this weekend in a nice tin case but no one to play it with. Having the digital version will be great to play and master so I can teach my friends to play and play withe family. In this version I can play it over and over with AI any time I want. Looking forward to playing over and over. I have bought other games by same developer and am enjoying them. I would recommend.

Die KI ist absolut keine Herausforderung. Diese bewegt sich nicht einmal ansatzweise in die Richtung von Mr X und hat schon nach der hälfte der Zeit keine Tickets mehr. Absolut enttäuschend, sogar im Angebot für 3 Euro nicht zu empfehlen

Ich hatte das Spiel auf der Wishlist, da ich es als Kind sehr gerne gespielt habe. Das Tutorial ist einfach gestaltet, man kommt schnell wieder ins das eigentlich einfache Spielprinzip hinein. Dann war ich leider traurig, da dieses Spiel kein Online Modus mit Fremden anbietet. Man kann also entweder mit einer sehr schlecht programmierten KI spielen, die dir überhaupt nicht hilft (wenn du als Detektiv spielst), oder mit Freunden, die über Remote Play deinem Spiel joinen können. Ist mir aktuell also noch zu wenig Content, ich warte gerne auf den Online Modus.
