schleich® DINOSAURS: Mission Dino Camp

I would have never thought I would have given a negative review to a game like this, but here I am. The problem is that this game has kicked me in the balls so much and with such violence that I can't absolutely stay quiet, also considering the not negligible amount of money I have spent on it. So, simply put, this is undoubtedly the most boring, tedious and repetitive game I have ever played in my whole life, and I swear I'm not exaggerating, not even a little bit. Graphically, this game is gorgeous, nothing bad to say about it. But speaking of gameplay, it's one of the worst disasters I have ever played. All you do, I repeat, ALL YOU DO, is driving around the oversized map to gather herbs. ALL THE TIME. You spend like... 1% of your play time interacting with dinosaurs, and 99% driving an off-road across an unbelievably empty map. There's NO VARIATION, all missions are EXACTLY the same, i.e., drive around like a moron and gather herbs. Maybe sometimes see a dinosaur from afar. If you're lucky. Otherwise, just drive and shut up. And that's it. Now, my humble question is, who on Earth would ever think this is the right idea to make a fun game? Who on Earth would ever enjoy such an inhuman torture? Now, I know EXACTLY what you are thinking, so let me anticipate you: "Well, Luli, you say this is an inhuman torture, then why have you played so much? Why did you not just give up?". Yes, I did, I finally gave up, but first I tried with all my will to keep playing, to keep exploring the game, to keep looking for something... anything... that could redeem such a disaster.... but after the 300th time I was asked to go gather herbs, I simply could not take it any more. Briefly, the answer is that I'm too good. Really too good. And second, you may say: "Ok, so the game is boring and repetitive, but what did you expect? This is a game for kids after all!". So? Just because they're kids they must be treated like idiots? This really upsets me. This game has been clearly made as a giant not-so-interactive advertisement for a toy line. Not a bad idea actually if you fill it with some actual gameplay, but here there's no such thing. Kids, look at our dinos, look at how beautiful they are! Cool, eh? Now go gather plants for 6 hours non-stop to justify the exaggerated price your parents paid on this low-effort showcase of a game! Really, I tried with all my good heart to find something to like in this game, but I have my limits. I just ran out of patience. Shame, really. Such a wasted potential. Cheers guys!

Definitely bought this strictly because it gave me the opportunity to show off my Schleigh collection. I have a ton of other animals as well but the dinosaurs are by FAR the coolest. As for the game, it is simple, but everything works and they did a great job on the dinosaurs in the game, even if the humans are exceptionally wooden and written hilariously poorly. Traversal is the main gameplay feature, and it is exactly fine. No stamina bar is great, jumping feels okay, and the set pieces are actually pretty cool. This might be a little expensive for what we are getting BUT, as I mention in the video, the game is cheaper than a single dinosaur from the toy shop...so... https://youtu.be/nXwLPQyIdU4

Nice game. The developers did a good job with the optimization. It's a shame you can't continue to explore the map after you've finished the game, and also near the end, the game gets repetitive and kind of boring very quickly (80% of the time driving the jeep/quad). I wish there were more content and activities because the game is pretty nice, and it also has achievements to complete.

Pretty fun game if you are into dinos and chill gameplay. Steam Deck runs it great and I usually play while watching tv lol

It's no Jurassic Park but it's still pretty cool! Graphics could be better and the dialogue/voice acting is sub par, but great detail to the dinosaurs and fun facts of information. I know it's a kids game so you get what you get lol. Wish you could actually feed/pet the dinos though. Maybe a future update you could hatch and care for your own dinos? 6/10

Bin positiv überrascht!! Das Game ist nicht schlecht!! Es ist total süß gemacht mit den Aufgaben und Minispielen. Perfekt für Kinder :) Auch die Performance ist gut, selbst am Steamdeck läuft es ohne Probleme. -JA die Grafik könnte besser sein aber für ein Kindergame passt es. -Was mir auch sehr gut gefällt, es ist alles Verton und einfach perfekt für Kinder die sich noch beim lesen schwer tun. -Die Texte sind kurz und knackig (find ich gut) Fazit: Also für Kinder perfekt und würde ich sofort empfehlen. Daumen hoch für dieses Game 👍🏻

Budget bargain bin game, The controls handle as expected for a budget game, The vehicle control is pretty horrible and the game loop mostly involves driving from one corner of the map to the other (and there are some infuriating areas to reach). You essentially go to a location of a hurt dino and take a photo, take the photo back to your base to show an NPC, Get an errand to collect tranquilizer herbs, go back to your base, get the tranquilizer gun from an NPC, drive back to the hurt dino to tranq it and it's pretty rinse and repeat. The areas to get to the dinos or the herbs get increasingly more annoying to reach and the loop involves you travelling large distance back and forward. You respawn if you fall too far, get eaten by a raptor or upright your vehicle and you respawn close to where you died. But, end game, I had to travel to the worst spot on the map, died just before reaching it and then it respawned me back 1160 meters away from where I was (no idea why) and that pretty much ended my playthrough of this game.

Adatto ad un pubblico di giovanissimi, i punti di forza sono l'esplorazione e la mappa gigantesca! Tuttavia le missioni sono ripetitive e c'è troppo backtracking!

Die Aufgaben sind etwas repetitiv, aber das Game ist sehr hübsch gemacht und macht Spass.
