About

Scavland is a hardcore survival RPG set in Zalesye, a land ravaged by war and the mysterious Mist.
You are a Vulture - a scavenger surviving on what the old world left behind. Explore abandoned settlements, take dangerous jobs, fight mutants and hostile survivors, and slowly build the equipment and reputation you need to push deeper into the wastes.
Ammunition is scarce, weapons can jam, radiation is everywhere, and preparation can mean the difference between returning with valuable loot or not returning at all.

Zalesye is home to different factions, settlements, traders, scavengers, and survivors, each trying to make a life in what remains of the world.
Meet their people, take quests, build relationships, and decide who you are willing to work with. Your reputation and choices shape how different groups treat you and what opportunities become available.
Some are trying to rebuild society. Others are simply trying to survive it.
Explore a handcrafted open world filled with abandoned structures, dangerous forests, irradiated swamps, hidden locations, mutants, bandits, and remnants of the old world.
But the surface is only part of Scavland.
Discover entrances to underground bunkers and other dangerous locations featuring procedural layouts, creating different spaces to explore across your playthroughs.
The further you leave the safety of known roads and settlements, the greater the danger - and the better the potential rewards.
Weapons are more than something you find and replace.
Collect firearms and attachments throughout the world and customize them to fit your needs. Change components, experiment with different configurations, and build weapons around your preferred playstyle.
Your equipment defines how prepared you are for the journey ahead. Build your loadout around where you are going, what you expect to encounter, and how much you are willing to risk.

Survival depends on more than what you can find in the wastes.
Traders offer weapons, equipment, attachments, supplies, and other valuable goods - but their best stock has to be earned.
Take jobs, complete requests, and build your reputation with the people of Zalesye. As your relationship improves, new items and opportunities become available.
Every expedition becomes part of a larger cycle:
Prepare. Explore. Scavenge. Survive. Return. Upgrade. Go deeper.

You survived being near-fatally shot by mysterious soldiers said to have come from a far-away land with no Mist.
Now you want answers.
The people of Zalesye speak of the East as a promised land beyond the RO-29 Highway - somewhere untouched by the Mist and the horrors consuming the Continent.
Whether those stories are true is another question.
Explore Zalesye, follow its stories, help its inhabitants, and uncover what the Mist is - and why you survived when you should have died.

The game is great, it's quite hard like stalker G.A.M.M.A. i'm interested to see where this game goes with updates. The pixel graphics are absolutely gorgeous.
this game is so far amazing i havent ran into any problems myself i love the 2d stalker feel style the devs have went for the only thing i will say is 1 make day time last longer as i feel 80-90% of the time im playing in total darkness which is fun to play at night but does get repetitive and i feel like make the ai roam more i dont really come across much human ai apart from going to camps and the gunner/bandit camps but other then that i would reccomend this game to a stalker fan or just anyone that likes 2d art style and surival games

Crashes constantly on the exact same spot, so I can't progress the story whatsoever. The doesn't have too much to offer right now except for atmosphere. Can't salvage guns or armour for parts. The economy is an absolute money-sink. It was fairly cool at first glance but overall, it just feels very lacking in anything substantial.
Good start, great look, good animations, runs good. I like to compare this to a mix of Zero Sievert and STALKER, more towards STALKER because it leans heavily towards the more hardcore aspects even on easy mode. VERY limited inventory space/stash space which there are mods for (Yeah, it's cheaty, but then you get into situations where it becomes a full on grind to survive and make money in the early game). Definitely needs some more time to cook, that's what I hope EA is going to fix. Gun and armor durability runs out WAY too fast, especially on longer runs, and it gets expensive to repair and/or get the components to be able to repair even the most basic of guns. Speaking of expensive...vendor prices are INSANE. You might be able to scavenge maybe..half of the ammo spent out on runs, assuming you survive and/or don't lose all your health kits to healing, but this economy will kill your wallet. And that's before we get to restocking food/water if you don't get lucky and get to scavenge that from kills. Hopefully cooking is on the way soon...creature meat and all that is just pure vendor trash if it's not for a quest. If you fulfill quests there's a good chance you'll still go into the negative trying to restock and repair your gear. There's some real gamers who are already saying they have nothing to spend money on or they don't know what to do in the end game, I'm not one of them. I'm still struggling through fetch and kill quests. I'm still trying to get enough together to be able to repair some of the better weapons gotten off of enemies. At least loot respawns in containers, but then you run into the same space constraints unless you run mods. Recommend overall? Sure. Right now? Ehhh not so sure.

I'm not the target audience for this, mostly prefer turn-based or tactical, RPGs also. What caught me on this game was the vibe I remember from Fallout 4 and other games where adventure and exploration are at the forefront, everything is trying to kill you, but you know you can eventually grind your way to success. I'm also not really the target in that I mostly don't go for Early Access, but it's clear even a few days in that the developers are pumped about what they've got here, and are listening to suggestions. I'm not sure how far they'll take it, but I'm excited to be on for the ride.
I put this in my wishlist to check out. I bought it the second day after I saw the update they made. Active, listening, trying things out. It feels good. Just dont come in thinking its going to blow your mind or give you tons of hours. It is a slow burn and they are working out the mechanics. The world is still very interesting and I am looking forward to seeing the narrative expand.
