I believe that honesty is crucial in any review, so here’s my genuine take. I discovered this game almost by accident, I received some trading cards as part of a trade, and my curiosity was piqued. After checking the game’s price and realizing it was only about 50 cents (if memory serves), I decided to give it a shot. At first, I found myself disliking the game, but for reasons that weren’t entirely fair. One of the trading cards featured a portrait of a political figure who is controversial in my geographic region, and that left me feeling hesitant about displaying it on my Steam profile. However, I realized this wasn’t a reason to judge the game itself, it was time to approach it with an open mind. The first challenge I faced was the language barrier. The game’s intro screen included text in Russian, which I couldn’t read. I don’t know much about the developers, they could identify as Ukrainian, Russian, or something else entirely, but the presence of Russian text made me unsure of the game’s context or story. That said, it’s understandable that the developers would cater to their audience, and many people do speak Russian. Unfortunately, my experience with the gameplay itself didn’t do much to win me over. I felt lost almost immediately. It seemed like my objective was to "save home," but after walking around for a bit, I couldn’t figure out how to progress. When I tried to interact with what I thought was my home, none of the buttons worked. I pressed "Q," hoping to open or knock on the door or even bash it down, but nothing happened. This left me feeling frustrated - it seemed like something vital was missing from the early-game experience to help me get started. Despite my confusion and rocky start, I don’t regret trying the game. I enjoy having a diverse library of games and appreciate unique titles from different parts of the world. In fact, when I eventually publish my own game, I hope to create something that appeals to a wide audience, bridging east and west, Russian and English-speaking players alike. For now, I remain on the fence about this game. I respect the effort that went into its creation, but I’d like to see more guidance or accessibility for new players. Ultimately, I play games to enjoy myself, not to make political statements, so I’ll give it another try someday (maybe during world peace) and see if my impressions improve with a clearer understanding of the gameplay.
