The Block is the world's smallest city builder. Place randomly generated buildings on a square and build up a tiny but perfectly formed city block! It's a very small game - more of a tiny little toy with no goals or challenges - hence the very small price :)

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was expecting "The Block" to be a bit more like Townscaper: a relaxing city builder with no challenge but with a certain mechanic that makes placing blocks interesting. The Block isn't what i thought it would be tbh. You have a very limited set of blocks that are not very interesting to look at on their own and they don't change with the environment as in townscaper. So the gameplay is just placing the same handful of blocks, right-clicking a bunch of times if you happen to want a specific block and then starting over once you've completed a tile. Yes, the gameplay is relaxing but also very boring and bland. If the tiles came to life in the end, if there was more variety in blocks, if the blocks changed depending on what they are next to, would make this game much more interesting.

Cute, chill, mini, exactly as described! Worth the half-a-coffee I paid for it :-) I wish zooming in on small builds was possible, so that I can play on my second smaller screen without wasting most of it...
You will not play this more than once, It's not bad or anything.. but i wish greatly there were more pieces... when the map size is so small, you need to have many more building pieces for there to be any room for creativity. I get it's a fidget tool.... but it's not interesting to fidget with beyond the first 2 times.
The Block is exactly as described: a small city-builder game that is really more a toy you can play around with for a bit. I think it is really quaint and relaxing. The sounds and score are really quite nice. Overall, this is a neat little experience, especially for the price. I recommend it!
It's an alright sandbox doohickey, but definitely not worth the price.
A digital fidget toy with a great sound design. The potential to make interesting looking miniature towns is there but The Block is fundamentally soothing and relaxing through nothingness
Совсем не весело провел полтора часа, пытаясь найти здесь хоть какой-то смысл. И да, иногда его действительно нет. 3/10
Sort of interesting that it is such a small file. It is more of a toy than a game as it doesn't score and there are no goals. If you want something relaxing like this, but with a goal and better graphics, get Islanders. I sort of expected this to have a goal or score of some sort and that would make it a better experience I think.
