Points positifs :

Bright Side of the Moon is the sixth and final episode of Sam & Max Save the World. This is the episode where it all wraps up, which it actually does in a good way! In this episode Sam and Max finds out who is behind the mind control hypnosis, and it is the least likely person they would think of! By the request of the commissioner, they are now off to the moon - where you can find the American flag, a lunar lander and... something else. The storyline really feels like this is where it has lead all along, nothing really feels shoehorned in or rushed. While no new characters are introduced, the ones brought back are done so in a good way and there's even some plot twists regarding them! The gameplay is per usual the same, however there is a mini game in this episode at last! The puzzles however in this episode are pretty entertaining, especially the final segement which I feel is the best way they could have done "the boss battle". Overall, Save the World has been a good season and this final epsiode did a great job of wrapping it up in a neat fashion. I can't wait to see what the next season has to offer and I hope it is as good, if not better!
The entire series relies on its unfunny jokes which hinder the gameplay a lot, and the gameplay itself is rather average anyway. I shouldn't have bothered myself and I don't recommend it.
Sam & Max 106: Bright Side of the Moon is another entry in a long series of short ScummVM style point and click adventure games. This episode finishes the first of 3 seasons of the series. This episode has our comedy freelance police rabbit and dog discover who's been behind the threats and calamities of the season, and travel to the moon to confront them. Gameplay consists of basic point and click adventuring and inventory management, with the occasional minigame. The only thing preventing this from being recommendable is poor futureproofing, as the game lacks proper customisable resolution and support for high definition/widescreen displays. And the way Telltale Games removed it from the store.
Wrapping up the series with a plot that draws together the strands from each of the previous episodes, sadly this wasn't as good a close for the series as I'd hoped, with the premise feeling a bit weaker than I'd hoped. The visit to the moon of course fits well with the overall vibe of the series, with travel of course still being via the duo's trademark DeSoto, but the character revealed ultimately to be behind the events of each episode is one that I liked least. Certainly this is still worth playing through, it's just not the high that I'd hoped that it could be.
