2022/07/18 도전과제 100% 달성. ​ [스토리] ​ '샐리'와 그녀의 아버지의 이야기다. 스토리는 총 5개의 챕터로 이루어져 있으며 1,5번째 챕터는 수미상관 구조를 채택하여 유사한 분위기를 띄우고 있지만 5번째 챕터는 마지막이라는 것에 걸맞게 여태 나온 모든 기믹이 총출동하는 걸 보여준다. 이야기의 시작부터 끝까지 모두 부녀간의 갈등에 중심을 두고 있으며 그녀의 아버지가 위독한 상황이라는 걸 시작으로 샐리가 집에 가면 홀로 여러 생각을 하는 걸 플레이어에게 들려주고, 보여주며 공감대를 형성한다. 하지만 엔딩이 조금 이상하게 끝맞쳐지는 느낌이 없지않아 있다. 이 점이 조금 아쉽게 다가왔다. ​ 동화책, 혹은 모범적인 책에서 흔하게 볼만한 이야기이니 독창적인 걸 기대하고 게임을 구매한다면 실망을 할 가능성이 높다. ​ [게임성] ​ 장점. ​ [u]1. 쉬운 난이도의 플랫포머.[/u] [u]2. 자식이 가기 전, 아버지가 먼저 가본다는 부성애를 강조한 게임플레이방식.[/u] [u]3. 간단한 조작.[/u] [u]4. 가이드없이도 클리어하기 쉬운 도전과제[/u] ​ 단점. ​ [u]1. 플레이를 하다보면 스토리에는 전혀 집중되지 않음.[/u] ​ [가격] ​ 정가 4,400원. 필자가 가이드없이 도전과제까지 모두 클리어를 했는데 나온 플레이타임이 2시간이다. 절대 정가에 살만한 값어치는 아닌 것 같다. 필자도 여름 할인 때 770원? 정도로 되게 저렴하게 구매해서 플레이했기에 되도록이면 할인율이 되게 클 때 구매해서 킬링타임용으로 즐기기를 추천한다. [도전과제] ​ 난이도 - 最下 ​ 정말 쉽다. 기본적으로 수집요소인 사진도 게임을 플레이하면서 잘 보이며, 리트를 한 스테이지도 필자는 그렇게 많지 않았다. 한 2개? 3개정도로 기억하는데 먹는데 난이도 또한 어렵지않아서 부담을 가질 필요는 전혀 없다. ​ ​ [총평] ​ 부성애를 강조하고 있는 국산 스토리텔링 K-플랫포머 게임. 상점 페이지의 후기에서 감동적인 이야기라고 해서 조금 기대를 많이 했는데 생각보다 가면 갈수록 뭘 말하고 싶어하는지 잘 모르겠다. 플레이 스타일은 정말 재밌었는데 스토리를 좀만 더 보강해줬더라면 더 갓겜으로 각성하지 않았을까.. 또한 스토리텔링과 게임플레이를 합친 게 너무 아쉬웠다. 필자는 퍼즐 클리어를 하느라 정신이 없는데 게임 뒷배경에 떡하니 스토리를 적어놓으니 집중은 안되고, 그렇다고 스토리를 보면서 하자고 하려니 진행 속도가 느려져서 아쉽고, 두 마리 토끼를 다 놓친 것 같아서 플레이하는 내내​ 아쉽긴 했지만 그래도 킬링타임용으로 재밌게 즐긴것 같아서 추천한다. ​

Platformer with cute graphics graphics, decent story, and relaxing soundtrack. Levels and puzzles are on the easy side, but the game on the short side, with limited replayability after. Overall, decently priced for what it is, and a good game for a quick and relaxing break. 8/10

The gameplay is an acrobatic feat of rolling and leaping, and the puzzles are intricate labyrinths that are immensely satisfying to solve. The storytelling in Sally's Law is its true highlight. Through poignant flashbacks, the game creates a nostalgic, emotional journey, much like flipping through a cherished photo album. This storytelling forms an unbreakable connection with the player. Aesthetically, the game embraces minimalism over hyper-realism, creating a world as enchanting as a secret map. Basic shapes and colors blend like a painter's brushstrokes, forming an immersive and endearing environment. As you guide Sally through this mesmerizing adventure, you'll find yourself swept into a narrative that feels like a hidden chapter of your own story. By the time you reach the final scene, you won't just have played a game, you'll have lived a tale, leaving you with a sense of wonder and a heart full of cherished memories.

잔잔한 구성과 심플한 디자인 그리고 은은한 배경음이 깔려 있어 한번쯤은 해봐도 무난한 인디-캐주얼 게임인거 같다. 다만, 전체 구성이 1~5장으로 나뉘며 각 장별로 1~6파트로 또 나뉘는데 [즉 1-1~6-6까지로 총 36파트]로 그렇게 작은 구성은 아니지만 볼륨을 늘이기 위해서인지 무언가 반복되는 대사도 은근 있고 데쟈뷰 처럼 비슷한 구간들도 더러더러 있어서 자칫 지루해 보일 수 도 있는 구간들이 존재한다.

This to me has everything a good indie title should entail. The perfect length, short and snacky but not over in less than an hour. Unique visuals that do the most with a limited budget. Charming, non-bombastic music. Interesting gameplay (platforming and puzzling in this case) that does a lot with very little. A nice story with some emotional weight to it. And, to top it all off, a very sharp price. Clearly a passion project and 100% worth your money.

Steam Deck: Plays without any issues. Sally's law is a short, relatively easy puzzle platformer. This is cozy games by way of Celeste. None of the puzzles or reflexes will tax your abilities. The story is simple but sweet. And the presentation fits firmly in the cozy style, although the character design is a little strange. Maybe not an amazing game, I found this a nice way to wind down at night.
