Sad virus is back at it again presumably on his hometurf. It's in line with the other titles in the franchise - explore the map, avoid obstacles and collect 10 beer bottles. The game takes less than 10 minutes to 100% so it's a good choice for achievement hunters. Just a quick suggestion for the developer, could you please move the last checkpoint? The virus keeps respawning in the middle of an obstacle.
Грустный вирус вернулся на Родину
Всё стандартно для этой серии игр - нужно посидеть на 10-и бутылках. В целом всё ищутся легко, следи где препятствия, туда и иди. Проходится быстро.
Игровая аналитика от mkabatsky
Sad Virus Asia is a third person 3D platformer game. The player seeks to find beer bottles which tend to be surrounded by hazards. There are 10 bottles with achievement. The hazards can be passed by looking at the layout and timing the move in and out. I played this on my Dell 3480 with Arc Xe graphics and RTX A500 discrete graphics. Game is very playable.
Yet another sad entry in the "Sad Virus" collection. You're first greeted with what I'd call the most hideous main menu I've ever seen. The actual "gameplay" consists of you meandering around a purchased Unreal Engine map littered with random obstacles, collecting beer bottles. It's the same formula these shovelware "developers" do for all of their "games" - combine random assets with the goal of collecting random items. Words like "polish" and "effort" are foreign.

Warning: Asset Flip!
Sad Virus Asia is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Tero Lunkka/Valkeala Software, took the Stylized Japanese Temple game assets from the real developers, AleksandrIvanov, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. Another prime example of the stolen and plagiarized assets from Tero here is the Sucker Virus which was really created by PolyNext. But Tero wants YOUR money for PolyNext's virus asset. Tero Lunkka/Valkeala Software has shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Stylized Japanese Temple" is just a simple Unreal Engine asset pack from FAB with a Japanese temple map, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game. It's just a minimum viable product, just enough to get through the non-existent quality control on Steam Direct. Not a real game. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Ethics aside, there's enough defects and quality problems with this game that it's not worth recommending to gamers, but the unethical nature of the developer/their associates makes it completely impossible. Because this is just a fake game/cash grab scam, and due to the sheer unethical nature of the developer, you should avoid this completely. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Kendall Studios/Tero Lunkka.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Sad Virus Asia - to platformowa gierka 3d w której jako smutny wirus w azji klimacie szukamy butelek piwa. Unikamy kolców oraz używamy trampolin. Da się zdobyć wszystkie osiągnięcia. ✅ Mi się podobała, polecam 👍😎
Sad Virus Asia, developed by Kendall Studios and Tero Lunkka and published by Valkeala Software, is a small and highly minimalist indie title that continues a formula seen across similar low-budget projects from its creators. It blends light platforming, basic exploration, and item collection into a short, contained experience set within a loosely Asian-inspired environment. From the outset, it becomes clear that the game is built around a single, uncomplicated idea, and everything else is structured to support that narrow focus. The gameplay loop is as straightforward as it gets. Players control a third-person character tasked with exploring the environment to locate a set number of hidden objects—primarily bottles—scattered across the map. Along the way, there are simple hazards such as spikes, moving traps, and environmental obstacles that require timing and basic navigation to avoid. Movement is functional, with occasional use of jump pads or elevated platforms to reach certain areas, but there is little in the way of mechanical depth or variation. The challenge is minimal, and success is largely a matter of persistence rather than skill refinement. Exploration plays a central role, but it is driven more by necessity than curiosity. The environment offers a mix of terrain types—small villages, forested areas, and structures that hint at an Asian theme—but these elements are mostly decorative. There is little sense of discovery beyond locating the required items, and the layout of the world is relatively simple, making the process feel more like a checklist than an adventure. Once the player understands the objective, the experience becomes predictable, with few surprises or meaningful changes in pacing. One of the more unusual aspects of Sad Virus Asia is its tone. The premise itself carries a slightly surreal quality, with the idea of collecting items to satisfy an abstract concept like a “virus,” but the game does not fully develop this into a distinct narrative or atmosphere. Instead, it presents its concept without much elaboration, resulting in an experience that feels somewhat detached. There is no strong storytelling element, and any sense of context is left largely unexplored. From a technical and visual standpoint, the game reflects its modest scope. The graphics are simple, with environments that convey their theme but lack detail and cohesion. Animations are basic, and sound design is minimal, providing only the essentials needed to support gameplay. While this keeps the game accessible and easy to run on low-end systems, it also limits its ability to create immersion or leave a strong visual impression. The overall length of the game is quite short. With only a handful of objectives and no additional modes or branching paths, most players will complete it quickly. There is little incentive to return once everything has been collected, as the experience does not offer new challenges or variations. This brevity reinforces the sense that the game is more of a small-scale experiment than a fully developed project. Despite its limitations, there is a certain clarity in what Sad Virus Asia attempts to do. It does not try to be complex or expansive, instead offering a simple, low-commitment experience that can be completed in a single sitting. For players who enjoy exploring unconventional indie titles or who are looking for something extremely casual, it may provide a brief moment of engagement. Ultimately, Sad Virus Asia is defined by its simplicity and lack of ambition. While it functions as intended, it offers little beyond its basic premise, with minimal depth, variety, or polish to elevate the experience. It is unlikely to leave a lasting impression, but it does serve as an example of a very focused, if limited, approach to game design. Rating: 5/10
