Worm in Rotating land is a 3D platformer. Players control a worm, explore a strange landscape, and locate eight hidden stars while trying not to plunge into the surrounding water. It might take a few tries to get all 8 stars. Played this on my Lenovo P15 with UHD 630 graphics and Quadro T1000 graphics. Game is very playable.

Nice 3D Platformer. Mainly quite easy, but couple trickier parts. Achievements, 100% / 30-60min.
Worm In Rotating Land is a deliberately small-scale third-person platforming adventure built around an amusingly simple idea: control a worm, explore a strange landscape, and locate eight hidden stars while trying not to plunge into the surrounding water. Developed by Valkeala Software and Kendall Studios and published by Valkeala Software, it is the third entry in the Worm adventures. Rather than complicating its concept with combat, extensive storytelling, character upgrades, or elaborate survival mechanics, the game concentrates on movement, exploration, collectibles, and environmental hazards. Its simplicity makes the experience immediately understandable, although it also means that players should approach it as a short experimental platformer rather than a large adventure. The worm can walk and jump, and those basic actions form almost the entire foundation of the gameplay. What gives the movement some challenge is the environment itself. The open map contains rotating objects, moving platforms, and awkward routes that require accurate jumping. Instead of defeating enemies, the player is essentially fighting gravity, timing, and the unusual geometry of the world. Watching how a platform moves before attempting a jump becomes important, particularly when several moving surfaces must be crossed consecutively. The intentionally straightforward control scheme makes the game accessible, while the environmental movement provides the main source of difficulty. Exploration revolves around finding eight stars hidden throughout different parts of the map. Each collectible is connected to a Steam achievement, giving completion-focused players a clear reason to search thoroughly. This objective works well with the open-world structure because players are encouraged to investigate the environment instead of simply following a rigid sequence of stages. Hidden-object elements consequently become part of the platforming formula. Spotting a star is only half of the task in some situations, since reaching it can require careful positioning and accurately timed jumps across moving structures. Water provides the game's most significant danger. Falling into it kills the worm, turning otherwise innocent-looking traversal into a test of patience and precision. Fortunately, checkpoints help reduce the frustration associated with failed attempts. This is an important addition because a platformer centered on rotating objects could easily become irritating if every mistake erased too much progress. The checkpoint system allows players to experiment with difficult jumps without making failure excessively punishing. Even so, repeatedly misjudging the same moving platform can become frustrating, especially for players who are less comfortable judging distance in a three-dimensional environment. The presentation complements the deliberately quirky nature of the concept. Worm In Rotating Land favors colorful fantasy surroundings and an unusual protagonist instead of realism. There is something inherently amusing about guiding a tiny worm through oversized moving structures while hunting for stars. The third-person perspective also gives players enough environmental awareness to study upcoming obstacles. The game carries tags covering 3D platforming, puzzle platforming, hidden objects, sandbox exploration, simulation, walking simulation, fantasy, and casual play, and that mixture accurately describes its unusual identity. It is not purely a conventional platformer or walking simulator but instead borrows uncomplicated elements from several genres. The main weakness is that the narrow scope inevitably limits variety. Walking, jumping, avoiding water, navigating rotating platforms, and collecting stars represent the overwhelming majority of what players will be doing. There are no elaborate combat encounters or substantial progression systems described to dramatically transform the experience as it continues. Players who prefer mechanically dense platformers may therefore find the concept too basic. On the other hand, this restraint is also part of the game's appeal. It does not bury its central idea beneath unnecessary systems and instead provides a focused objective that can be understood almost immediately. Steam Deck compatibility deserves some caution. The Steam store page does not currently display an official Valve Steam Deck compatibility classification for Worm In Rotating Land. The game should therefore be regarded as unverified for Steam Deck rather than assumed to be Verified or Playable. Its relatively straightforward third-person platforming concept appears naturally suited to handheld controls, but actual compatibility, controller behavior, performance, interface readability, and any Proton-related issues should not be treated as guaranteed without an official Deck rating or sufficient testing. Ultimately, Worm In Rotating Land is best viewed as a compact and eccentric platforming diversion rather than an expansive adventure. Its rotating environments give an otherwise basic walking-and-jumping formula a distinctive hook, while the eight-star objective provides a straightforward reason to explore the entire map. Checkpoints prevent the water hazard from becoming excessively punishing, and the combination of platforming and collectible hunting gives the game enough structure to sustain its intentionally short format. Its limited mechanical variety will not appeal to everyone, but players who appreciate inexpensive, uncomplicated indie games built around unusual concepts may enjoy guiding this determined worm through its hazardous rotating playground.
