Sacrifice is the acclaimed real-time strategy game that focuses on combat instead of resource gathering. The only two resources you'll need to worry about are mana and souls. Need more units? Capture the souls of your enemy. Cast spells of awesome power.

One of the most unique games you'll ever play. Unfortunately, this game can be difficult or even impossible to get running. I cannot understand why they increased the price of the game without a proper update. In fact, it seems a recent "update" introduced more issues. The ai does not seem to work outside of the campaign, no matter the map.
I played the hell out of this game, when I was 15. I can still recite the entire intro cutscene. Eventually, I finished the campaign with every god. I have no idea whether it still holds up today, and I don't care. Compatability seems a little rickety on Windows 10, but ironically enough it's running perfectly for me under Linux. Time to get back to business.
I first played through this game back in...2000! When it came out, my uncle had a very nice computer, for the time, and a trackball mouse. I played this game, at like 12 years old, for about three days straight without sleeping or eating anything at all. Still to this day, I have more fun playing this game than I do Skyrim, and that is saying something. It's a very simple game, as far as graphics and computational burden, but man it is a LOT of game.
best game ever
Do you like speed running? Because this game has mandatory speed running at the title menu in 2025. After doing the suggested things to get the game to even run, I have about 15 seconds to get through the menu to a save file or new game then load into the level before the game crashes to desktop. If you can make it into a actual level the game runs pretty stable. Make sure to look up online some things like changing to early compatibility mode and going into nvidia and force keeping the program to 30fps.
Best game ever! They don't make them like this anymore. The art style is out of this world funky
Played this when it first came out years ago. So glad to have it back after all this time.
Невероятный сплав искусства, религии, метаиронии и геймплея, одна из любимейших игр с детства, а какие тут саунды.... 😌
Niestety gra całkowicie nie działa na nowszych systemach D:
If you're at all on the fence, MandaloreGaming has a video on this game. It's only about 20 mins long, but does a great job summing things up. One of my all-time favourites. The game is a bit strange to explain to other people, I don't know anything to compare it to exactly. It's an RTS for sure, but also 3rd person action game - you control a single wizard, and you use the mouse, keys, and gestures to manage both your character and units at once. Souls are the currency in this game, so it turns combat and resource gathering into a single thing - steal the enemy souls and prevent yours getting stolen during a fight. No building chains, no upgrades. Just fight / achieve objectives. AI is a bit dated, you can certainly find ways to cheese it sometimes. But honestly that's a blessing for me. I SUCK at RTS games, but I've been able to make it through this game several times cuz I'm able to figure out cheese strategies for the super difficult parts. Also a weird strong point, but the voice acting cast for this is INSANE, which is weird when you think of old video games. Cast is a mish-mash of celebrities from the 90s and beyond: Tim Curry, Tara Strong, Grey DeLisle (Vicky from Fairly Odd Parents, Azula from Avatar), Brad Garrett (Raymond's brother in Everybody Loves Raymond), Tony Jay (Narrator from Treasure Planet), Rob Paulsen (Pinky from Pinky and the Brain, Raphael from TMNT). Dialogue for them all is well written, and the characters are memorable.
