For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.

RX squad is an indie arcade shooter developed by YFYX GAMES and published by My Way Games. Released on Steam in 2016, the game embraces a straightforward design philosophy that draws inspiration from classic space shooters. Instead of focusing on complex storylines or deep progression systems, the experience is built around fast reactions, simple controls, and continuous combat against waves of alien enemies. The title attempts to recreate the spirit of older arcade-style shooters where players could jump into the action immediately and test their reflexes against increasingly difficult stages. The narrative framework is intentionally minimal, acting mainly as a justification for the nonstop action. The story places players in the role of a pilot within a specialized defense force known as the RX Squad, a group tasked with protecting Earth from dangerous alien creatures invading from deep space. These extraterrestrial monsters threaten humanity’s survival, and the RX Squad’s advanced spacecraft represent the planet’s last line of defense. Players pilot one of these futuristic ships through hostile environments, eliminating enemy forces and clearing a path for humanity to reclaim safety. Although the plot remains simple, it establishes the familiar science-fiction atmosphere common to many classic arcade shooters. Gameplay centers on navigating through levels filled with enemies, environmental hazards, and obstacles. Players control a small spacecraft that moves freely across the screen while firing weapons at incoming alien threats. Success depends on carefully balancing offensive attacks with defensive movement, since even minor collisions with enemies or terrain can destroy the ship instantly. The control scheme is easy to learn, allowing players to focus primarily on dodging projectiles and lining up shots. This simplicity makes the game accessible for newcomers while still offering a challenge as enemy patterns become more intense. One of the more notable mechanics in the game is its weapon customization system. Before entering missions, players can choose different ammunition types for their spacecraft. Each ammunition option affects how the weapons behave, whether through faster firing rates, stronger individual shots, or wider projectile spreads. While the system is relatively basic compared to the elaborate upgrade trees seen in larger shooters, it still adds a layer of strategy by letting players tailor their equipment to match their preferred playstyle. Experimenting with these variations can make certain levels easier depending on the types of enemies encountered. The game also offers a selection of spacecraft, each with its own characteristics and abilities. Some ships emphasize speed and agility, allowing players to maneuver quickly through dense enemy formations. Others prioritize durability or stronger weapons, sacrificing mobility for greater firepower. This variety encourages players to experiment with different approaches to combat. Choosing the right ship can significantly influence how a level plays out, especially when facing waves of enemies that require either quick evasion or overwhelming firepower. Visually, RX squad adopts a colorful but simple presentation that reflects its indie origins. The environments consist of stylized backgrounds that help establish the space setting while keeping the action clearly visible. Enemy designs focus on recognizable alien creatures and mechanical threats rather than highly detailed models. Explosions and weapon effects are bright and energetic, providing satisfying visual feedback whenever enemies are destroyed. Although the graphics are modest compared to modern shooters, they remain clear and functional, which is essential for a fast-paced arcade experience. The audio design follows a similar philosophy of simplicity and functionality. Weapon sounds, explosions, and enemy effects provide immediate feedback during combat, helping players track what is happening in the middle of chaotic encounters. The soundtrack maintains a steady rhythm that supports the constant movement of gameplay, creating an energetic atmosphere that complements the action on screen. While the music and sound effects are not particularly elaborate, they help maintain the momentum that the game’s design depends on. Despite its accessible design and energetic pacing, the game does have limitations. The gameplay loop remains largely unchanged throughout the experience, with most levels revolving around the same basic objective of destroying enemies and avoiding obstacles. Because the number of environments and enemy types is relatively limited, the repetition can become noticeable after extended play sessions. Players looking for deeper mechanics, evolving storylines, or large-scale progression systems may find the experience somewhat shallow. Even so, the game succeeds at delivering the type of experience it intends to provide. Its straightforward controls and quick missions make it easy to pick up for short play sessions, which suits the arcade-inspired design. The combination of ship variety, weapon choices, and increasingly challenging enemy patterns keeps the gameplay engaging enough for players who enjoy classic shooters. Overall, RX squad stands as a modest but enjoyable indie entry in the arcade shooter genre. It may not introduce groundbreaking mechanics or large-scale production values, but it provides a functional and entertaining experience that captures the spirit of older arcade games. Players who appreciate simple space shooters and fast reflex-based gameplay may find it a pleasant distraction, even if the limited scope prevents it from achieving lasting depth. Rating: 7/10
