Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 22 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Rusty's Retirement is an idle-farming simulator designed to sit at the bottom of your screen allowing you to work on other tasks while caring for your farm!
Grow crops:
Plant crops and watch Rusty get to work as he waters, nurtures, and harvests. Unlock new crops as you progress, from crispy carrots to ripe tomatoes.
Produce biofuel:
Use crops to produce clean and energy-efficient biofuel, a vital robot power source. Sell biofuel to other machine inhabitants and reinvest the money into expanding your farm.
Automate with robots:
Deploy a team of cute little robots to assist with planting, watering, and harvesting. Customize and upgrade your helper bots to increase efficiency.

Multitasking:
Rusty's Retirement is built to sit comfortably at the bottom of your screen allowing you to do other tasks while caring for your farm. Zoom in or out for a less distracting view, or alternatively turn on 'Focus Mode' which slows down crop production.
Vertical mode:
You can also create a new vertical farm that sits comfortably at the side of your screen.
Twitch Integration available:
Streamers and viewers can build a farm together. Viewers can control what task their robot should focus on through chat commands like !plant !water !harvest.

Reviews
A relaxing idle farming game to have in the background (or literally on the bottom or side). Grow crops, automate production, and gradually expand your farm without needing to give it your full attention. It has good and steady progression that is extremely satisfying. Cute characters and cute everything else too. Pain points: * None that stood out to me. The game delivers exactly what it promises. (Of course this is not for you if you dislike cozy gaming or expect an idler game to not be idle) Final recommendation: If you enjoy idle games, automation, or cozy farming experiences, Rusty's Retirement is easy to recommend. It's particularly well suited for people who spend a lot of time at their computer and want a low-maintenance game running in the background.
I love it. It's the exact right balance between idle and needing input. I wish I could make it full-screen and make the biggest farm ever.

一個很標準又很可愛的放置農場遊戲,遊戲簡單明瞭,且部分地圖也挺有小挑戰性,很推薦!
my happy place :D
It's okay.
Simple and Beautiful
nice brain-afk game. love it :)
it's very good at first. but it soon became a chore. especially for ppl that like min maxing, this soon became a very complicated calculation and a real chore. u would think a lot about the layout to max ur profits, and to make sure ur bots could do all the work it's an idler game, but the thing that would help u to idle (the planter) is locked at the very end. until then, u would need to plant the plants by urself. which is bad, as u would need at least 3 different plants, and each plant would grow mature at just averaging 3 minutes. so every 3 minutes or so, u would need to see it and plant again, or rusty and ur bots would idle (really idle as they had nothing to do). So, I'm rushing to the end to unlock the planter, but after I got it, it feels like an end game already because I have unlocked almost every upgrades. Sure I still have some parts of the farms locked, but that's just for expanding my farms, which isnt really needed as I have unlocked all the upgrades. What I needed only to upgrade all my bots, and maybe re-layout my farm to accomodate the upgraded bots. BUT, the bots upgrade is very weird. each update would increase the cost for ALL similar bots. so I upgraded 1 level of the speed of 1 of my irrigation bot, and then when I want to upgrade the speed of my 2nd irrigation bot, the cost increase (and no, the 2nd bot still start from level 1, and didnt have the upgrade from the 1st bot). so if I have 10 bots, u could imagine how much increasing of the cost just to upgrade them all to level 2, and if each bot could be upgraded like to 10 levels, imagine how astronomic the price would be. Seems like it's the route the dev took to prolong the game. So, no, I considered myself done after unlocking all even though I have not upgrading all the bots. So actually I'm in the middle, for an idle game, this game is not idle at all. It requires us to be active. So, it's not good in this part. For an idle game, and I only played it for 10.6 hours (u can see my time), it's not good. But at the same time, I have to admit, I had fun. The game's concept is good and interesting. It's just it shouldnt be categorized as an idle game. It would be better if the chars, and the bots, and the plants got increased speed and this made to be an active game instead. In the end I still recommend it, as at least, I had fun with it, and the price is cheap enough anyway.
