good game if you like a manager type game

a Very fun game but can be confusing if on a laptop

I really wanted to like this game. Am a big NRL fan and like management sims in general and i waited years to buy this as i wanted it to have a chance to fix glitches. I didnt pay full price for which i am glad as it isnt anywhere near a $50+ game, in fact it isnt worth the $32 i paid for it. I understand that the graphics in these games are a vague representation of the algorithm, but this game is terrible. In my first game of the season i had the following- 11 players all threw themselves into a big pile whilst the opposition scored - my team kicked twice into the in goal, no one chased it, the defenders stopped, but both times i somehow scored - a prop forward twice ran 90 metres to score with the worlds best fullback jogging along in his back pocket without attempting a tackle - a fullback 3 times ran 100 metres to score with no one chasing or attempting a tackle - both teams formed seperate huddles on the halfway line and stood there waving their arms, but somehow whilst this was happening a try was scored ... that bit was actually funny, but the game is not supposed to be a comedy. This game is sad, i am sad, i hate leaving bad reviews, i get the feeling that the people behind this are good guys, they are helpful and quick to respond, but this game is rubbish, and is a LONG way from being decent. I hope they stay with it, a good NRL sim would be awesome, but right now, this game isnt it.

decent game innit up the saints.

Gameplay isn't too bad, however whenever I start the game up my saved game is gone and nowhere to be seen leaving me with the only option of restarting a new career only to get 4 games into the season, save the game to go off and do something else only to come back and surprise surprise the saved game is gone. If you love creating your manager, dealing with all the initial start up things and making all your set plays over and over only to play a couple of games, then go for gold. If you actually want to play for season after season, well maybe give it a miss

It’s a good game, I like it. The menu’s are very slow and could do with upgrading. And the gameplay is choppy so I’ve had to put the game as ‘very low’ quality in settings. But it is a good game considering I’ve been looking for a rugby league manager style game for years

The fact that this game is $57 (AUD) at the time of review is a crime. This game is not good. I love a sports manager game (who doesn't, amirite?) I have thousands of hours in football managers, FIFA managers, championship managers, international cricket captains, baseball managers, tour de France cycling managers, you get the idea. You only need 2 things to make a good management game, an idea about the game, and a match engine. This game has neither. The 3D match engine is so buggy, players constantly disappear, reappear, and players off to score a try will stop, run back to their own end, and celebrate as though they had scored. The quick sim and 2D match engine is much better. But this game is nearly $60 and in 2022 I expect 3d graphics for AAA game prices. Additionally the scouting of southern hemisphere teams is terrible. The super league may be okay. I don't know anything about the Super League, and so I am not going to talk about it something that I wish this game would have done. Players are incorrectly positioned, woefully attributed and generally are poor. So to summise; The positives: (+) The game looks really sharp and professional. (+) Fully licensed players and teams from the super league, NRL and lower leagues. The Negatives (-) 3D match engine is broken. (-) Wage Negotiations and Transfer fee's are single offer per month and there is literally no negotiations. everything is a take it or leave it offer. (-) While your favourite players are there, they are not realistic. They have incorrect positions, incorrect attributes and are generally trash. I love Rugby League. I love Management Games. I HATE this game. 0 Stars.
