Roxy Raccoon

Neat 3D platformer, reminds me a little of Mario 64. Has lots of things to do on each level, I like that it changes up the view at different parts of the game to make it more interesting. Looking forward to playing more when I have time 😅

Unassuming low-poly environments hide a surprisingly wonderful and charming 3D platformer. You get to run around a city, spooky forests, life-size board games, you name it. And the gameplay is surprisingly varied! There's collectathon elements, stealth, timed races, some precise leaps, even boss fights - all as a raccoon that can only climb trees and dash (in a very cursed way). You can also customize your appearance with a lot of options! Definitely a hidden gem among 3D platformers, but it doesn't deserve to be that way forever.

To be fair, I didn't play the game for very long. But I got bored REAL quick.

Quite a charming platformer! You are Roxy, a cute raccoon that has to face off against a crazy witch that is causing trouble for you and your friends. You run, jump, climb, explore, and beat the witch at her own games! The controls are decently smooth, and the gameplay definitely reminds me of older platformers and collectathons, as you work to collect all the stars and gems on each level. Doing so unlocks different hats you can wear and look stylish in. What might throw folks off at first is how running works : When you hold Run, you move faster, but you turn like a car instead of the more instant turning of normal Roxy. It's neat and interesting way to control running. There's a few issues and quirks, but nothing game breaking, more just minor annoyances! Jumping and climbing can get odd at certain camera angles, and some of the time trials/races can be tough until you get the pattern/route down. Overall, though, the game is super cute and charming, plays well, and is quite a lot of fun!

Roxy Raccoon is a 3d platformer about collecting gems and gold stars from a variety of levels. The gems are like the music notes from Banjo Kazooie and gold stars are the jiggies. You get the stars by completing challenges like races, stealth missions, catching an evasive rabbit, or finding enough hidden objects. This game is made by a solo dev and he's very responsive to feedback so be sure to send him some love.

Roxy Raccoon is a wonderful game that brings back the classic feel of older games like Spyro and crash Bandicoot. if you love platformer's (and hat's) then this family friendly adventure is perfect for you. 10/10

I love this game! It reminds me of collection/mini-games like the 3D Mario games, or Spyro the Dragon. For someone who grew up in the N64 era, this game fits right in with games I enjoyed in my childhood. One of my favorite aspects of this game are the hidden areas and secrets the developer added. They are always fun and give me a sense of pride finding a hidden trashcan to jump in or a hat tucked out of the way. The collection aspect of the game isn't too difficult, and collecting the stars and gems is very similar to collecting Coins and Shinies from Super Mario 64 or Sunshine, and it feels great to perfect a level! The game is not without its flaws, and there are a few glitches here and there, but nothing game breaking IMO. The one aspect that truly frustrated me were the time trial races in the first two levels which had no prior introduction and were difficult to navigate at first. However, after I learned the patterns and beat the races, I really felt a sense of accomplishment, so this frustrating mechanic ended up turning out alright in the end.

Краткий обзор можете найти здесь: https://youtu.be/YlukYvSEI6Y * играл в предрелизную версию К сожалению игра в меня не попала, либо я вырос из таких игр (хотя разработчик пишет, что игра подходит для всех возрастов), либо жанр устарел, ну или просто - это не мое. Первые три уровня какие-то максимально простые, хоть на третьем, место действия только крыши, но вот на видео и скриншотах видно, что нас ждут действительно крутые карты и задание, но, видимо, во второй половине игры. По геймплею, нам нужно собирать кристаллики (хотя я так и не понял для чего), а также выполнять задание за которые получаем звездочки. Основное задание на каждом уровне - найти зловещий сундук. За звездочки мы открываем новые уровни и проходим дальше. Визуально меня игра тоже не зацепила, видел пару подобных проектов, и какие-то не очень красивые тусклые зелёные тона вместе с ярко фиолетовыми. Но енотики действительно классные) Баги есть, не очень хорошие анимации, да и от камеры укачало (хотя это не вр даже). Я ожидал от игры чего-то большего, если приправить все то, что есть, отборным юмором, то игра подходила бы действительно всем возрастам, а так, детям или поклонникам жанра. P.S. Сказать уж прямо плохо про игру не могу, но и меня не зацепило, в любом случае оставлю положительный отзыв.
