pros: - still worth for the price (bought it when on sale) - some maps are fun to play cons : - mouse cant be setting to normal, only inverted is available - the minimum score to pass the level is quite high and has no diffculty option.. if u are a beginner, u may need some effort - graphics / performance is not that good, but u can set it to lower setting
Updated Feb 21 2023. Finally have finished the game. Dev has added levels that play more like traditional bowling with a twist that make completion and play much more enjoyable. I still don't love the game but honestly grab it on sale and give it a try. You may enjoy it! Updated Jan 16 2023. I wish we could give neutral rating in these cases. Bowling is not my game, but it could be yours. There are some levels that with updates and feedback I have liked, and there are some I still despise which is why I still haven't finished. If you are not a completionist, Bowling Bash is absolutely worth a try. If you are, probably still worth a try but it may be a frustrating completion. Try it, leave feedback, and it can only get better. Absolutely not the worst game I have ever played. The dev is amazing and super responsive and receptive. I can't wait to see what else Roxy will do in her future. ---------- Old Review I will preface by saying the dev is great and always updates his games based on player feedback, but sadly this game has not hit the mark over and over again for me. If you don't want to read the whole thing, it basically is that the game is overly difficult for no good reason. I am still playing it. I plan to complete it. I did get this game for free even though I planned to buy it, and I also bought it for someone else to give me their impression as well. For now, unless you think this is your thing, pick up another Roxy game and wait until I change to recommend. ------- Roxy Raccoon Bowling Bash is the sequel to Roxy Raccoon/Roxy Pinball. It follows a new story with a new witch and her pals. The story is light, but that's alright. You do not need to have played the previous games (they both tell the same story), but it adds some lore. Sadly, I cannot finish at this time due to the difficulty of the game itself. More on this in a moment. Art and music is standard for Roxy. I like it, it's simple, cute and predictable. Tons of unlocks and costume customization, you can play a few different characters once you unlock them through play. There are a few modes to play but they typically have the same idea. In every level there is some procedural generation and you have a time limit, a score to beat, a limited number of tries (sometimes 1), gems to collect, and a secret hat. You will play through each level more than once to collect all of these.

Story mode will advance the story and open more maps.
Arcade has some non-traditional games.
Totem, is essentially a time trial mode. This is where I am currently stuck.
Achievements are mostly for just doing everything or trying options out, a couple of milestones have them as well, but not all. For bug, dev is usually quick at patching them when you let him know. Things like falling through the floor or going through surfaces you probably shouldn't be able to at random spots, or getting stuck under a random piece of the world. I think most of these are resolved now, or will be in the next patch. Now for the gameplay. For most levels, I would not call this lane bowling. This is part platformer, part avoidance game. And that is where this game becomes so hard to recommend. As stated at the start, the game is, and this is my opinion, difficult for no good reason. I'll restate; This is really not a casual bowling game, it's more a frustrating and punishing platformer disguising as a bowling game. Part of the frustration certainly comes from the controls. They are simple space to jump, shift to power up, WASD to control Roxy, and your mouse to control the camera. The camera is extremely sensitive and can be annoying to use in some levels, Roxy moves in the general direction you want, but it’s also very hard to make her not go certain places, specifically when she’s been knocked by something. Jumping is a lot of trial and error, and you need to sometimes charge by running or by using power up to get wherever you want to go. You get a bit more used to the controls with time, but it’s still completely jarring and frustrating to me in several levels. As stated above, I am currently stuck on collecting some hats and the totem mode. Some levels are seemingly impossible/too tight to get the totems in the time allotted. For hats, I have run through a few levels a hundred + times and haven't found it. I have only a handful of totem and hats left and I am done though. Dev is still updating game with new levels and improvements. He listens to players and makes changes where he thinks he should. Maybe you will enjoy it as is. For now, I’d say pick up the other Roxy games get to know the story, they come first anyways.
Loved the music and had fun playing. Especially love the mechanic that adds extra speed. Quite fun rolling around as a raccoon. Only thing I wished for was being able to zoom out more on the camera lol - that's prolly a me thing though as I tend to pull back on the camera in most games. Definitely a fun game for anyone to play.
Cute and super fun!
this game is a hourse ----- ITa : 'sto gioco è una cagatapazzesca
Yet another WINNER from SinoMod! The Roxy Saga continues ! Now we are bowling, but not just your average bowling game. This is a platformer /bowing game/ story combo. It is FUN! And Frustrating. It WILL challenge you. The gravity, the roll of the character/ball is perfectly tuned. Collect the Jewels , avoid the obstacles, dash wait dash collect jewels see the Bowling Pins curve or jump or bolt into them , gain points, get enough points goto next level etc .. Also extra non story bowling as well. This is really fun. If you like Turbo Golf Racing or are a fan of the Roxy Raccoon Game, The Pinball Game and the Nectar Game then this is a great addition to your Games Library. Great Stuff! Kudos Developer!!!!!!! This game is a hit!
I love playing with these furry balls, the game is good too
Roxy Raccoon’s Bowling Bash is a playful and inventive spin on the bowling genre that immediately sets itself apart by refusing to play things straight. Developed and published by Sinomod Studios, the game doesn’t ask you to roll a ball down a quiet lane and watch pins fall from a distance; instead, it turns the concept inside out by making Roxy herself the bowling ball. This single design decision reshapes the entire experience, transforming bowling into a hybrid of arcade sports, 3D platforming, and obstacle-driven action, all wrapped in a colorful, character-focused presentation that fits neatly within the wider Roxy Raccoon universe. At the heart of the game is a control scheme focused on momentum, timing, and spatial awareness. Players guide Roxy as she barrels down imaginative lanes filled with ramps, hazards, moving platforms, and environmental traps. While knocking down pins remains the ultimate goal, getting there is rarely straightforward. Lanes twist, split, and throw surprises at the player, requiring constant adjustments and quick reactions. This makes each run feel active and engaging, closer to navigating a miniature obstacle course than executing a traditional bowling throw. The arcade-style structure encourages repeated attempts, as learning lane layouts and mastering movement becomes key to improving performance. The game offers a variety of modes that give structure to its quirky mechanics. A story-driven progression provides context for the challenges, casting Roxy against a supernatural rival whose curse must be broken through a series of increasingly elaborate bowling trials. While the narrative is light and intentionally whimsical, it gives the experience a sense of forward momentum beyond simple score chasing. Outside of story progression, score-based challenges and replay-focused stages appeal to players who enjoy refining their runs, optimizing routes, and pushing for higher rankings. One of Bowling Bash’s greatest strengths lies in its level design. Each themed set of lanes introduces new visual motifs and mechanical twists, ensuring that the experience rarely feels repetitive. Some stages emphasize speed and precision, while others lean into hazard avoidance or clever navigation. This variety keeps the gameplay fresh and constantly nudges players to adapt their approach. Procedural and semi-randomized elements further enhance replayability, preventing runs from feeling overly scripted and encouraging experimentation. Customization and progression add a light but welcome layer of personalization. Unlockable cosmetic items allow players to alter Roxy’s appearance, giving a sense of reward beyond raw scores. While these changes are mostly aesthetic, they reinforce the game’s playful tone and provide incentives for continued play. Achievements and leaderboard systems support competitive-minded players, offering long-term goals for those who enjoy mastering mechanics and comparing results. Visually, the game embraces a bright, cartoon-like style that suits its energetic design. Environments are colorful and expressive, with clear visual language that helps players quickly read hazards and pathways even when the action becomes hectic. Animations are lively, giving Roxy a strong sense of personality and making her movement feel responsive and fun. The soundtrack complements the experience with upbeat, arcade-inspired music that enhances the sense of momentum without becoming distracting during repeated attempts. That said, Bowling Bash is not without its rough edges. Certain lanes can feel unforgiving, especially when tight camera angles or sudden obstacles demand precision that the controls don’t always fully support. Difficulty spikes may frustrate players expecting a more relaxed or casual bowling experience. However, these moments often feel like byproducts of the game’s ambition rather than careless design, and they tend to lessen as players grow more familiar with the mechanics. Overall, Roxy Raccoon’s Bowling Bash succeeds by confidently embracing its own weirdness. It doesn’t try to appeal to traditional bowling purists, nor does it aim for realistic simulation. Instead, it delivers a fast-paced, character-driven arcade experience that rewards curiosity, persistence, and skill. For players who enjoy unconventional genre blends, inventive level design, and lighthearted challenge wrapped in a charming presentation, Bowling Bash offers a memorable and refreshingly different take on what a bowling game can be. Rating: 5/10
Well, I’m a sucker for anything with Raccoons so finding out there was a Raccoon Bowling game, I knew this was a must buy. Little did I realise though, this is a glorified version of Hyperbowl! I used to play that in the arcade of my local theatre. Good stuff all around, not much to say though. Just decent game-play, solid visuals and a banging soundtrack.
J'ai bien aimé Roxy Racoon, mais celui là j'accroche pas du tout https://youtu.be/xmWgXM97qU8
