Once upon a time, in a far-off land, there was a brave rooster who lived on a farm with his flock of chickens. However, a sly fox began to steal the chickens one by one, whisking them away to hidden locations. Determined to rescue his chickens, the rooster embarked on a perilous journey to track down the fox. Along the way, the rooster discovered he had the ability to shoot fire from his beak, which he used to fight off the fox’s traps and free the chickens. Eventually, the rooster reached the fox’s stronghold and engaged in a fierce battle. Despite facing many challenges and obstacles, the rooster never lost hope and ultimately emerged victorious, defeating the fox and rescuing the last of his chickens. The rooster returned home a hero, and the chickens lived happily ever after, safe and sound thanks to their brave protector. The end.
As a solo indie game developer, creating my first game, Rooster Tale, has been a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. The game follows the adventures of a rooster as he navigates through various levels filled with obstacles and enemies.
I wanted the game to have a retro feel, so I chose pixel graphics and incorporated elements of adventure and puzzle platforming. Making the game challenging is also important to me, so I’ve spent a lot of time playtesting and fine-tuning the difficulty to get it just right.
The process of developing Rooster Tale has had its obstacles. There have been many late nights spent coding and troubleshooting, as well as moments of self-doubt where I questioned whether I could see the project through to the end. However, the sense of accomplishment I will feel when I finally finish and publish the game will be worth all the hard work.

This game is a clear example of a case that, unfortunately, happens pretty often in the indie development scene: a developer so blinded by the fact that they are making a game, that they forgot to make a game actually enjoyable for other people. This is by no means a "low-effort" game. I see all the time that went into making visuals and designing levels (there are a lot of them), but I seriously doubt that the game have been tested enough (if it was at all). The main issue lies in the level design: all levels are centered around the same idea. You have to find a certain object, bring it to the other side of a level, that will give you another object, that you have to bring somewhere else. In most levels, you have to do that a couple of times, which gets tedious REALLY fast and starts to feel like a chore. And I am not talking about cases when you can lose the improtant object if you take damage in the process. The game progresses by adding different enemies, mechanics and gimmicks, but the gameplay loop is always as I described above: monotonous and boring. Honestly, I decided to complete all levels just because I wanted to see how far the developer could push that. Doing the same thing on 80+ level is NOT fun at all... In addition to that, the production quality is lacking too. Physics are jank, there are just 2 music tracks for the whole game and there is even one impossible level close to the end that I had to cheat to complete. UPD: The impossible level got fixed! I really wish to give this game a neutral review, but Steam forces me to choose between "Yes" and "No", and in this state the game gets a "No" from me, that is honestly really sad :(
Precision platformer mixed with some puzzles. So, I'm not big on the whole precision platforming genre. I don't think they're bad or anything, I just find life hard enough that playing games where mistakes are costly doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. The pixel art is nice, the music is good(though I wish there was more variety), and the level design feels pretty good. I found some of the puzzle elements a bit frustrating because it's essentially stacking boxes in order to jump higher. At least those are puzzles on the first island. It's certainly a game that if I was a bigger fan of the genre I could find myself playing more often, but I need to be in a particular state of mind to do so. Without being in a chill vibe mindset this game just starts to rapidly cause irritation when boxes start falling, jumps get missed by an inch, and I have to restart a level I feel like I've been on far too long. That being said, I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something to add into their speed running collection because the levels are set up perfectly for it.
Oyun çok zor en azından zorluk derecesi falan olabilirdi kolay 5 kalp normal 3 kalp zor 1 kalp vs. Kutu hareket ettirme olayı saçma oluş onun dışında sesler ve ambiyans güzel.
