so i found this game in the description of a randomly recommended video about a rain world mod i like it, its a pretty simple but solid platformer and its rather brief, if youve got the $6 (or like $4 right now since its on sale) id say its worth grabbing and spending a couple hours on. it was kind of cute seeing the dev's interests sitting around, little phrases from other games, a couple familiar characters, i think i saw the max karma symbol in one of the levels
I think this game is incredibly cute. I love the simple design of the our little round knight we play as and the different creatures that clutter the different levels of the game. If I had to pick a favorite and least favorite creature, I'd say the stars are my favorite (as they were my source of health) and the bulls are my least favorite (they can rot in the depths of the abyss for eating my jumps so often). I'm gonna just quickly list some things I loved and disliked about the game (there wasn't anything I truly hated). = LOVED = - I loved the little borders you could click through. Each of them were brimming with charm! I had to take a few minutes to decide on the one I wanted to use throughout the game. While I adored the gameboy inspired borders, I ultimately decided on using the constellations border. - I loved the tile-sets and backgrounds for nearly every level of the game. Each had a very pleasing viewing experience for my eyes. My favorite tile-set/background designs were probably the water levels. Each one was so pretty to me! My least favorite was probably the sky ones. They felt rather empty, in my opinion. - I loved the way progression was handled. The open-endedness of the game was really nice, being able to pick and choose what parts of your character you could upgrade by playing those respective levels was nice. Plus the changes in design were also really charming. I loved our golden boy's final appearance! - I loved the music (obviously). It was simple, but very relaxing. It definitely helped with some of the more challenging portions of the game. = DISLIKED = - I disliked how you would sometimes get stuck in the semi-solid platforms, causing you to have to slide off to the side of it (if there was one in that specific platform). I do not know why it would do this, but when it did you could not jump, you had to slide off the side of the platform. - I disliked how the bulls would absolutely DEVOUR MY JUMPS if you were to jump as they went down or up. (This is a slight nitpick, it just bugged me a bit). - I disliked the first "phase" of the final boss. The idea was really cool! I love the idea of the checkpoint/save point becoming a boss (something that should be done more often, honestly), just the little brawl itself was pretty... bland. The rest of the final boss was entertaining, though! = OVERALL = I enjoyed this short little game. It was a fun time playing it through in one sitting! Will definitely look out for more games made by you. (QUICK EDIT) I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO MENTION THE HIDDEN ANIMALS??!? I didn't find them all but I loved the ones I DID find! It was such a cute little edition! This is definitely a fun little retro-inspired platformer! Also, the Papyrus reference definitely made this game a solid 11/10 for me.
I haven't really touched a lot of platformers in my super cool and epic gaming career, however I'm genuinely glad I got to play this one. I adore the charming pixel art and DS style overall, and really appreciated the difficulty and challenge some of the levels had, except for the one with the bird, I now hate the species overall and wish for them to be eradicated. The soundtrack was really nice as well, certified hood classics. Only gripes I had with the game was the fact I sometimes got stuck in some objects, and that caused my untimely death. The game as hidden animals however, so all is forgiven.
Literally the Dark Souls of indie platformers, now with bonus pets.
ENG: I don't believe in horoscope but that doesn't stop me from enjoying this little retro game, the platforming feels good and the pixel art is very nice, you can feel that the dev put love into the game. ESP: El horóscopo me parece una boludes pero eso no me impide disfrutar de este jueguito retro, el plataformeo se siente bien, el pixel art es muy bonito y transmite mucha nostalgia, se nota que el dev le puso amor al juego.

Quick Score: 3/5 Notes: Well made but relatively simple and repetitive platformer. The music and variety in terms of the visuals keeps it interesting throughout, but many of the stages are hit or miss and tend to just take a single idea and repeat it from start to finish. I picked it up on sale for a little under 2$, and for that price its a light recommendation. Wouldn't suggest full price. Only about an hour of fairly mediocre gameplay, so don't go into it expecting more than that.
enjoyed it! not the best of the best but at 5$ it's well worth the price. deserves way more recognition than this and therefore, take this review! <3
Charming little platformer. Easy enough to make it pleasant. Gorgeous pixel art, relaxing soundtrack. Each level has its own twist (and its own pet to find :3) to keep it fresh. Easy recommendation if you like this kind of games and want to unwind a bit.
