Take control of the protagonist Romeo Stargazer in this third person singleplayer action adventure, split into various chapters. His story is both unpredictable and littered with intense battles, interspersed with side missions to suit the player's pace.
A story that transcends space-time
This game's story starts with space-time itself being shattered by a certain incident. Romeo, too, on the brink of life and death finds himself revived by a new kind of super technology. Thus he is recruited for the FBI's Space-Time Police as a special agent, and wanders the cosmos in search of criminals who've taken advantage of the situation at hand in an attempt to bring justice back to the universe. At the same time, he looks for clues concerning his missing girlfriend Juliet, and quickly comes to find both her disappearance and the destruction of space may be more linked than he thought. Donning the mask called Deadgear, what awaits Romeo at the edges of space-time?
Fight blood with blood
Romeo switches between swords and guns to fight. Wipe out the waves of enemies that stand in your path to give birth to a new kind of bloody action, and take down the fearsome space-time criminals that await. Absorb the blood of your enemies to unleash Romeo's special attack: Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Romeo's various weapons can be strengthened and altered as the story moves forward as he takes on even stronger enemies.

Romeo is a Deadman is not without its flaws. The usual lack of optimization is present, and some sections can be frustrating, but Suda51/Grasshopper Manufacture manages to deliver a unique and inspired experience by combining a delicious soundtrack, a strong visual universe, and the studio's usual exploration of powerful themes

What it looks like in the trailer. Suda just wanted to make all his favorite things in a slop title. It not being attached to the NMH world makes the slop less jarring. I the only thing better in NMH3 was the combat. 7/10

The amount of creativity, and art in all it's forms in this one game is crazy!! suda51 is showcasing all of his talents here
All I can say is Suda 51 and the Grasshopper Crew have a knack for making the coolest most frustratingly unfun but kinda fun games ever.
It is WEIRD but certainly not as weird as other Suda51 games. The game is fun. The gameloop is fun but by the end of the game became a little bit boring. The graphics are alright, but stylisation and presentation are GREAT. The only negative points in this game are: perfomance could be better and graphics (not stylisation or presentation) are a little messy at times (i guess because of the RTX implementation). Overall, i really liked this game. If you dont mind weirdness then i recommnd it.
Romeo is a good man
It is Suda51 game alright. Gameplay can be a bit dull and janky, lacking QoL in some menu aspects, item use and weapon swap is not very responsive, as well as sometimes visual clutter on screen from effects blinds you. That's about all the issues I can think of. Visuals are stylish as hell, music is great, combat a bit shallow (compared to something like DMC or even some other Suda's games) yet solid, level exploration doesn't overstay it's welcome and references to other "Kill the Past" games are a welcome addition (not that it would make or break anything if you don't know them). Asking price for this mad ride is a decently easy sell. Doubly so if discounted.
Very fun and over the top but that's what makes a non-stop blast.
