Game is a messy one

Romeo is a Dead Man is a stylized third-person action joyride with fun, albeit repetitive, combat. Boss fights are diverse, with a great soundtrack and interesting designs. Cutscenes and upgrading both diverge from standard practice in the best way, oozing with style to stand apart from other offerings. Pacing suffers with the diverse approach to mechanics and forcing frequent puzzle sections later into the game; however, the main story’s relatively shorter twenty-hour playtime with refreshingly little padding keeps the overall experience short and sweet. I have been waiting since no more heroes 3 to see what grasshopper manufacture inc has been working on. They are finally able to release their own games without needing a publisher. This is a must have for people who wonder why they play video games. This restored my love for video games. It made me think about life differently and it's got that charm that suda 51 always delivers. His team threw everything against the wall and said yes. I could only imagine what was turned down. This is a must have game for people who love action games and a really interesting story, The combat has depth and really interesting enemies to fight against. You have bastereds these zombies that have powers that you used. Taking off the chips that you use in no more heroes 3 but with even more diversity. The only issue with this game is performance. They still need to tune in frame generation and make this working on steam deck. This game looks good, but unreal engine 5 is known for having issues that make games more demand than they should be. I hope they fix the performance so if you can play this than it's a must have. Currently not great for a steam deck owner. Suda other games work flawlessly so please support Grasshopper manufacture inc. This is a fair price for an experience that has you thinking about it even when you stop playing it. It pushed me to want to see the end. It's tough to really stick to games when there are so many things pulling you this way or that way. This game I didn't want to put down. Every time I got a moment to play I took it. We need more games like this so please support this amazing indie game.

Romeo is a Dead Man completed! Honestly, this is one of Suda51's best creations as of rn. Me personally I still hold No More Heroes 3 as my favorite Suda51 project, but playing Romeo was still a fun experience. Some of bosses were a hit or miss, but the actual action gameplay was great. Euphoric even. My only problem was that on PC, the game would freeze whenever I try to slash up a bunch of dudes in one screen. I was able to fix it by lowering my graphic settings, but I shouldn't have to do that when my set up has an RX 7900 XT as my GPU. Regardless, I think the combat was pretty solid. The soundtrack was a masterpiece throughout. I loved almost every musical piece this game had to offer me from beginning to end. My favorites include all the dungeon soundtracks, "I'm a Dead Man", Fused Animated boss theme, and ofc "Cheat Code" as my favorite one. Seriously, this soundtrack was beautiful with the tracks making me cry at times. Lastly, the story and writing was your usual Suda51 flavor if you're used to his games. I won't spoil it for obvious reasons, but the plot is really just Romeo and Juliet but across space-time mixed in with cute obscure references only the most hardcore fans would get (especially if you do WorstPink's side quest). Everything made sense until you get towards the ending. Which is no surprise since Suda always make his endings absolutely crazy with almost every single title he makes. I sorta figured out what happened but I'll have to wait for GhenryPerez to make a "Deadly Individualism" video on it to make sure my suspicious are true. Overall, I loved Romeo is a Dead Man. And so far, it's been my personal GOTY for 2026. And I highly recommend this game for anyone who loves gory action games with a whacky, but philosophical premise in their stories. Glory to Suda51 🙏

it's like i was fighting for my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life through an acid trip with a true objective to literally and figuratively melt my squirrel sized brain. i loved every single drop of blood, every bastard, and every weapon i have touched so far. it's quirky, fun, fast and action packed like finally banging that chick that likes anime as much as you. if you liked the last installment of No More Heroes.... it's that but off of a perk 30 and carries a gun. play this ♥♥♥♥

Great game about Romeo and Juliet. It's trippy, surreal and over the top.
