About
Pick one of three heroes and descend into the dungeon, fighting your way down one floor at a time. Every level is generated fresh, so no two attempts play the same. When you die, you start over from the top.
Roguecraft DX takes about five minutes to learn. Getting good at it takes rather longer.
The critically acclaimed modern Amiga classic, now on PC.

Yes, if:
You want a roguelike you can pick up without reading a manual
You'd rather a run took half an hour than a whole evening
You'd like your first character to actually stand a chance
You think a badger following you through a Lovecraftian dungeon is a good idea
Probably not, if:
You're here for deep item identification, hunger clocks, inventory management and a hundred-key verb set. We built a deliberately compact system instead.

In Roguecraft, each of the three playable heroes brings a unique play-style and special abilities to the fight. They also represent different difficulty levels, so choose wisely! The Warrior delivers crushing blows, the Rogue blinks behind enemies for deadly backstabs, and the Wizard may be fragile, but unleashes powerful magic missiles.
Choosing a hero is choosing how hard the challenge is going to be.

Somewhere down there is a cage. Open it, pick up what's inside, give it a good scratch behind the ears, and it goes into your inventory until you need it.
Summon your familiar and it'll fight beside you and fetch loot you can't reach, but only for a handful of turns. It's there to get you out of a tight spot. Knowing when to let it out is half the trick.
Yes, one of them is a badger.

Classic Mode
Play the original procurerally generated 15-level dungeon, fight your way through its depths, and defeat the boss at the end.
Endless Dungeon Mode
Looking to prove yourself? Enter the Endless Dungeon, where the challenges get progressively tougher the deeper you go.
Chicken Run Mode
Want a tough challenge with a fun twist? Play as a Chick Un and see how far you can make it!

Every descent is unique. The dungeon reshapes itself with every run, ensuring a fresh challenge and new surprises each time you play.

Designed to respect your time, most runs last between 30–40 minutes, perfect for a focused session or a quick escape.
Every descent is generated fresh: new rooms, new routes, new ways to die. Unlabelled potions you probably shouldn't drink. Secret rooms you'll only find if you're paying attention.

Hand crafted isometric pixel art in the tradition it came from, every monster, shadow and flagstone placed deliberately. The dungeon oozes atmosphere, and the chickens have considerably more personality than strictly necessary.

For time immemorial a legend has been told of a dark, deadly dungeon containing unimaginable horrors and riches beyond belief. Enough riches and magic to make you a king, THE king even.
Tales of the dungeon was found in an ancient Egyptian library many years ago. The scrolls told rumors of an ancient dark presence and a magic amulet. The legend also tells of a wakening and of horrors to come. Your search carried you across the world - one riddle leading to the next.
Finally you are standing at the entrance of a dark and mystical dungeon. You, Zendar, a warrior, a wizard, or uhm, a rogue… are ready to defeat the monsters and gather the riches waiting below!
You just need to take a leak first.
Step into the dungeon. Embrace the unknown. The depths of Mordecoom await!

Originally developed in Assembly for the Commodore Amiga, Roguecraft has been faithfully ported to PC, preserving its authentic retro charm while bringing the experience to modern systems.

I would like to recommend this game to anyone who loves rogue style games. I've been playing games like this since the 80s/90s and this is a wonderful iteration on the theme. The developers originally released this as Amiga software and I have been playing that version for some time, so after playing this PC version for a couple hours I can safely say it's fantastic. The art style is lovely. The music is great. The class selection is good and the challenges associated with each class are fun and challenging too (rogue is quick and hard to hit, fighter is a tank, and wizard is low health and range attacks). I would also say the replay factor is very high here. Dungeons change each time and you will not get bored easily. The new monsters and familiars (pets) in this version are a lot of fun and the new potions are as well. Potions change their functions each time you play and that is part of the fun figuring out 'what potion does what' each time and their functions are quite varied from healing, regeneration, stone skin, blink, reveal level, and my favorite .. alcohol. Nothing like hoping it's a healing potion and finding out you're now drunk when surrounded by monsters. :D Pick this up if you like old school rogue likes. You won't be disappointed.
A game made with a clear vision and lots of love. I liked it a lot. Well worth the investment.

Ich liebe das Spiel und den Soundtrack, habe es bereits auf dem Mega65 viel gespielt.
cool game
It's a fun little game
Enjoying it a lot on my deck :)
Diablo 5 is here and it's glorious! I originally bought the origial - Amiga version of Roguecraft and had a blast with it, so grabbing the extended DX Steam version was a no-brainer. I really appreciate how much the team has expanded on the original concept — new biomes, familiars, secret rooms, new consumables, and new enemy types all add up to an already familar experience, only making it better. If you're looking for a satisfying (if sometimes brutal) roguelike dungeon crawler, you'll get a bang for your buck.
It is so much fun to see the craft that went into this game. I love running around the dungeons and it still surprises me with what monsters are going to appear. I bought the straight-Amiga version originally. Who even makes games for the Amiga?? A select few, the fact that it's here too is really great.
I'm liking the cut of this game's jib.
