Aside from looking hideous, It never felt good to play. It's as DOS as it looks, and I'd highly recommend picking up Void Bastards instead. ..Which also looked hideous, but was a heck of a lot better to play. Fun even!
Just... Just look elsewhere, this isn't the FPS you're looking for >:(
For those of you who enjoyed classic shooters, this is a treat. It has retro-borderlands style graphics and the loot mechanics are comparable to that of your basic roguelike game. When you die, you start over, but the 'intel' acquired is persistent. You acquire more and more intel as you replay the game more and more, and with more intel comes more unlockables whether that's more available perks, backgrounds and enemies.

I really was excited to play this but the levels are just bland grids, the enemies just run at you mindlessly, the weapons and such feel like the original Doom but worse. It's just overall, I would say, just not a good game.
I would love to love this game, unfortunately it plays like glitchy abandonware. I have to reset the resolution and fullscreen every time I enter the game. I get stuck on walls. It crashes constantly and then I also lose my save file and the intel I gathered towards metaprogression. The keyboard controls are clunky and it has no controller support. With some patches, this game could be awesome and fun... but as it is, every time I give it a second, or third, or fourth chance, I regret it and remember why I don't play it.
idk man its a good game but its waaaay too popular for me to play it
this is a really fun roguelike that falls into the underpopulated subgenre of games that are first person shooters and roguelikes. this is a good game. play game
Super fun Wolfenstein 3D in space.
