Rogue Planet is a short horror game about the Mayan Phenomenon of 2012. Made over the course of 3 years as my first big Steam game using GameGuru.
STORY MODE:
You are Markus Steelwyre: a soldier trapped in an endless cycle of misery in the Mayan Year of 2012. You are comatose after being seemingly shot in both arms, and the face. Yet you miraculously survive and find yourself in the events leading to that moment. The world is slowly ending, and you can't escape it. This is no dream. It's a nightmare!
If you wish to survive, you must burn the memories to the ground if the real world is to continue, since a world without consequences can't exist and be happy, right? As you continue, the horrible truths of the dream become reality. The longer you stay, the more real they become.
How can you know where you're going if you can't remember where you came from? And how far will you walk away from reality before you see where it leads? Wait where is everyone? Are you having deja vu or are you going in circles? And is she begging for you to end the world?
Only you know what you're willing to sacrifice. The clock is ticking.
Your destiny is nigh.

First of all, i played this game approx 2- hours and did all there is to see and do, but "developer" propably didn't change steamappID of this game to his own game, so steam thought i was playing gameguru, i needed to AFK these hours with cmd just to write this review, yeah. Thats how broken the game is. Secondly before getting to review, i have been active in gameguru community from 2015 and i am very familiar with this engine and really know its do's and dont's, so that i can assure you that i know what i am talking about. The review: This right here is not a game, its gameguru stockassets all over the place and worst voice acting i have heard in a long time, the developer is more than disrespectful in game manual towards engine he has made the game in "(Thanks tgc)" even tho 90% of these problems could have been done and fixed if he just would know something about game development or scripting LUA, the fact actually that he is being disrespectful towards thegamecreators and gameguru as whole even in his youtube channel is worst kind of delusional childish act i have never saw with my own two eyes, he is telling that the games problems are engine related even in the comments of other reviews, but this is not true as 90% of addressed problems are fixable or so delusional and far fetched that it doesn't make any sense. The "game" itself is a dumpster fire, its literally gameguru stockassets putted here and there with propably developer himself(?) voice acting. No custom scripts, No custom assets, just barebone levels with one of the most ridiculous level design i have seen, this whole "game" is a example why gameguru is getting bad light as an game engine, because some people that are using it are not respecting the value of it or doesn't even try to learn proper use of it. Only thing worse than gameplay itself is that the game keeps recycling the maps with just new grass and ground textures, couple enemies added here and there, you are playing the same 5-6 maps over, and over again till the game ends. There is NO art direction of whatever, all assets are just placed there as he said himself, toddler could do it. (youtube) Crashing? yes. Is it engines fault? hell no. There is one recycled level where shooting some npc's/mines crashes the game, you don't get error message but i myself figured it out in second that its caused by lua error, so the hardest obstacle you have in this game is to not try to crash it while playing that level and all variations of it. And lets go back to level design, yeah there propably is not one, all levels are exploitable, boring and purpose no reason because story just isn't there, just some floating words that doesn't really do anything for the game. The end credits have special thanks to lucasArts and treyarch, and thats one of the biggest disrespectful acts towards those companies in my books because of how awful creation this piece of "entertaiment" is. If this developer used 3 years in this, im really sorry. But that cannot be possible, this is assetflip what could be done less than 24 hours. Nothing here is custom content. Words for the developer: This "Game" is not bad because of the engine, its because of you, you clearly don't know anything about game development with gameguru as 90% of things you blame the engine is out there, but no one is just doing it for you. You need to develop your own game, no one is going to make it for you. You even are saying you could "fix" gameguru for TGC but there still is not even one line of custom code in your "product" ? TL;DR - Developer is delusional and blames the engine for his mistakes - Game design, there is none. Just default assets here and there with horrible voiceacting thrown together - Disrespectful lies against gameguru and TGC in his game manual, comments and youtube videos - Really just gameguru demo levels, but made worse and unstable.

game is absolute ass would not recommend voice actors sound like paedophiles the game ♥♥♥♥♥ its self every second npc are ass can get out of map every time i go to the 4th lvl MAKE A BETTER GAME WITH GOOD AI AND MAKE THE GAME STORY HAVE A MEANING AND THE GAME IS SO BLOODY SHORT I COMPLETED IT IN 8MIN LIKE BRO
Rogue Planet 1 is a GameGuru asset flip. The "developer" bought the GameGuru first person shooter construction kit (no coding required, it's just a GUI!) and cobbled out a map or two using stock GameGuru assets... nothing in this game can fully be called the creation of the developer, and yet they also failed to credit GameGuru or acknowlegde any of the GameGuru assets. They're trying (badly) to pass someone else's work as their own. It's just a bunch of random GameGuru assets dropped around a really lazy, stock textured GameGuru map template, but there is the inclusion of some absolutely garbage voice acting. You can plod through this asset flip in less than 10 minutes, but nobody would want to. Let's be clear, GameGuru is a completely godawful construction kit. If you try to take it seriously as a game, you'll find no resolution or graphics tweaks, no controller tweaks... it's horribly optimised and will be sluggish even on high end rigs. You can make the argument that GameGuru exists to just make demos and little experimental games to pass around with friends, but that's not what's happened here... the developer is seriously trying to pass off this construction kit copy+paste asset flip as if it's a real game. That's not okay!
The only reason im recommending this is because its free to be completely honest, the GameGuru engine is the worst engine that couldve possibly been chosen, crashes if you do basic things, the gameplay is decent enough, graphics are pretty good for game guru, idk about the story because i could only stomach the garbage fps and input lag. worth at least a try, sad that this was limited so much by the trash engine
Playthrough here: https://youtu.be/w_TCJaerZGY The game is terribly optimized it literally crashed on me multiple times. Every 30 seconds to 3 minutes of play you're in a minute long load screen... It seems like the creator forgot to delete his saves, because after crashing after getting through some levels I loaded the most recent and it took me to pretty much the end of the game. I think the environment looks really cool, but the game plays pretty terribly... I kinda feel bad that they spent 3 years on it and it ended up being pretty bad, but it is what it is.
Rogue Planet, 2012'nin Maya Fenomenini temel alan kısa bir aksiyon korku FPS oyunudur. GameGuru'yu kullandığım ilk oyunum olarak 3 yıl boyunca yapıldı. Kişisel bir tutku projesi. Enterasan Delta force oyununa benzettim.

I am really sorry for you if you really spent 3 years of your life creating this "game" after just 20 minutes it became repetitive and the only thing I can say about this game is MADONNA LEZZO PROPRIO.
Game of the year. I enjoyed the deepness of the story. Many more games should strive for the quality that this game gives off. Clearly a sequel must be made. A port to consoles would be nice too
