Rogue Legacy is a genealogical rogue-"LITE" where anyone can be a hero. Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Every child is unique. One child might be colorblind, another might be a dwarf with vertigo. But that's OK, because no one is perfect, and you don't have to be to succeed.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A wonderful roguelike. Though, don't ask how long my family tree was....
for how old and primitive it is, it's still fine

太爽了
Garbage. Shallow, repetitive and grindy. I wouldn't play it if it was free. To elaborate, about how shallow it is. There's like, 20 unique enemies? The rest are reskins with slightly upgraded abilities. Say, a skeleton, which throws a single bone at you, then gets upgraded and throws three at once. The classes you pick are often negligible, not impacting your gameplay much, at the end of the day 90% of your combat is just movement and spamming a melee attack. Oh, and character traits, which usually are just a visual effect, nothing major. And there's literally nothing else to talk about, that's the gameplay loop, choose a class of your descendant and fight the same 20 enemy types. As for repetetiveness, well as you can imagine from my description above, you keep doing the exact same thing, over and over and over and over, dying, buying a few upgrades and trying again. Which might have been fine for what, 10-15 hours? But To 100% this game it took me 64 hours (some were offline). I'm so damn sick and tired of this game by now, and this was the intended experience? Piss off. Grindy, I literally did nothing except spawn, explore the entire map for chests, die, buy a few upgrades and repeat for 20 hours straight, between hours 20 and 40 or so, before I finally went to beat the first boss on NG+. So much so I'm practically max level on my main save. Suuure, if I was more skilled, I wouldn't need that many stat boosts, but I think the intended way to play was to grind for money until you're around equal level with your enemies, otherwise they're too much of a health sponge and you die in 2-3 hits. So yeah, I just wasted 64 hours of my time playing this garbage and I hope you learn from my experience, this game is not worth your time.
Not much of a roguelike fan in general but this one managed to grab my attention for a fair amount of time. Interesting twist to the formula, which is that you not only become stronger due to building up your stats, but also inherit defects. Recommended but just barely, as there are definitely way better games even within the genre.

Fun :3
Quirky little game! I'm having way too much fun. Gotta try the sequel next!
