Rogue Legacy is a genealogical rogue-"LITE" where anyone can be a hero. Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Every child is unique. One child might be colorblind, another might be a dwarf with vertigo. But that's OK, because no one is perfect, and you don't have to be to succeed.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really good Roguelike. I like that the main goal of most runs is to gain upgrades to make future runs easier; it feels more like "standard" progression than Roguelike-ish progression, which is fresh in this sort of environment nowadays. The randomness of each heir makes runs feel different, between their class and whatever weird adjustments they have. It's sufficiently hard, particularly in navigating the main play area. The bosses are okay; they mostly felt fairly easy even when the area still felt somewhat difficult, but that's probably due to them being more determinate than the main dungeon areas. It also knows when to end; it doesn't drag out too long to see all the content, unlike some Roguelikes around. This is much appreciated nowadays.
extremely unfun and very unfriendly if you don't own a controler.

Good game, hard but fun!
A fantastic Roguelike with meaningful, well-paced progression.
Nota Final: 6,5 Ranking: 1. Metro 2033 (8,5) 2. Far Cry: Blood Dragon (8,5) -DLC- 3. Saints Row: The Third (7) 4. Rogue Legacy (6,5) 4. Mirror's Edge (6,25) 5. Splinter Cell: Blacklist (5,5)
The roguelite that helped define the genre. The generational mechanic - where your children inherit your upgrades but also your quirks - is brilliant. Tight platforming, satisfying combat, and the "one more run" addiction is real. The sequel is great too, but this original still holds up.
The first of the genre I ever played back when it was free on PS+ a decade or so ago. Someone said it was bullet hell trash it's NOT it's charming and aura-packed
