The dark souls of factory games...Took me 5 hours to just clear the first game and I have played every factory game, every vampire slayers.... Spears and good charms (always crit) helped. The way I think about it is, assemblers 1 = modify resource, assembler 2 = DPS, assembler 3 = potions etc. There are purple upgrades in the corners - be sure to get those for potions. Damage Potion is extremely useful. Overall, a worthy foe.
reminiscent of games such as clickyland
Good concept, I hope the game will get polished in the future. It's too difficult, factory editing is clunky (we really need a way to copy and move parts of the factory). Getting parts of your factory to not work for a few levels is way too impactful to be so random. My feelings (and review) are positive, but that's mainly because of the potential for a better future
Great concept but once you've managed to clear the first, unreasonably difficult stage of the game you've already seen everything it has to offer.
Only played for about 2 hours as the gameplay was pretty repetitive due to lack of enemy diversity and interactions during the actual rougelike phase. As a proof of concept, i think this idea works and works well it just needs a little more development and features. I have decided not to refund and hope the developer will use this to continue to produce games and get support for their next title. I almost think dropping the bullet hell part and making it autobattle or simulated might allow the developer to focus on the automation part as the key gameplay. As it stands, the factory part is unabalanced and hard to manipulate due to missing features, and the bullet hell rougelike part is missing pieces to make it fun and interactive. Not sure how possible it would be, but if you could simulate while you build the factory that would allow you to focus heavily on the building aspect and give you the pressure of a rougelike.
Really fun game, but feels unfinished or not polished. - The factory builder needs copy, paste and bulk delete. Without it, it's just tedious to refactor parts of the factory. - Factories behave weirdly (e.g. "waiting for input" while all inputs are available and waiting to enter the factory, similarly for "output full"). - Ratios are difficult to understand when crafting times are modified but only show one decimal number. These things make building the factory feel a bit like a guessing game and less satisfying. Again, very fun gameplay loop, so I hope this gets improved.
random bs go! cool vs like with inventory gear but now with very basic factory mechanics a bit much to tackle (im used to my double sided belts) but once it clicks its gets interesting its nice
games fun still havnt won a single run in my 8 hours ive gotten close BUT for some reason every time i got to quit the game it crashes and this last time it crashed my whole pc so i think im done with the game for now hopefully its a issue they can fix and if not oh well i enjoyed my time playing
AWESOME!!!
Rogue Factory is 20 minute bullet hell, a pretty standard offering from the genre, contemporarily speaking. What makes it different and interesting, but also what it does worst, is it's spell factory mechanic. Because whilst it's cool and rewarding, there's no copy-paste, no stamps, no way to move sections neatly... Effectively no QoL. You'll spend much longer, TOO much longer, tinkering with this part of the game.
