Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved

Short review: a decade ago, It was basically ''the hot thing'' for a while... and man, still mindless fun today!

It's a classic. One of the gems from the Xbox 360 days which made people realise that a game doesn't have to be a hundred million dollar AAA game to be fun and addictive. If one day there is a video game hall of fame then Geometry Wars is right in there. The soundtrack alone will make you want to play. It's a shame there's no achievements in this version but other than that this is all killer, no filler. Also hard as triceratops ♥♥♥♥.

A lot of my high school was me trying to break past a million points in this game. When I finally nailed it that adrenaline dump was insane back when achievement hunting was huge. I came back to it after all these years and it still is a perfect game. I played the sequels but this is really the only one you need. There is a patch to play this on modern win 11 systems.

My first and one my favorite twin stick shooters. You get the same zen state gaming that shmups provide but in a more compact play space. Wish the 2nd game in the series was available that one was amazing.

Timeless Masterpiece from the Good O'l 360 Xbox Arcade Days. Very Simple, Chaotic Fun and is Fluid as hell! Deserves a try at least!
