About

Choose from multiple races and classes that meaningfully change how your hero fights, survives, and grows, then tackle a traditional roguelike built around tactical turn-based combat, procedural dungeons, persistent unlocks, and multiple ways to play.
Rogue Empire combines classic dungeon-crawling tension with a more modern interface, different game modes, and high replay value.

Build your hero from race, class, and difficulty choices, then grow through a mix of class identity, player choice, emergent talent offers, spells, loot, and rare rewards.
“Some builds become legends. Others become lessons.”

Choose how you want to play. Follow the main campaign, chase optional quests, explore the world map, discover points of interest, or push into special modes where the stakes rise the deeper you crawl.
“One more floor is always a reasonable idea. Until it isn’t.”

Fight through turn-based grid battles against dangerous enemies, champion variants, and unique bosses, using positioning, talents, magic, items, traps, and resource management to turn each encounter in your favor.
Uncover forgotten secrets, claim legendary items, and complete powerful item sets.
“A strict no-refunds policy applies. Mostly to your life.”

Unlock new perks, discover illustrated story paths, reach different endings, and climb the leaderboards.
“Your hero may fall, but at least they were useful currency.”

One of the best character levelling systems I have ever seen. Carefully designing your character through cards, potions and essence unlocks makes this title one of the best rougelikes out there. 10/10

I am having a lot of fun with this title! Dying is part of the fun in this game. It leads you to more builds and being able to try what works for you. Playing as a mage can be a challenge as you can starve to death when you over rest vs how much food you can find or buy. The only draw back in the game is not enough merchants. You can take an ability that helps you summon a merchant. Their money is limited and so is their stock. I would like to see the smaller towns you pass through have an option to buy some food for the trip. It would have to be also limited as not to take away from the challenge of having food. I really enjoy that survival feature. You can get some abilities that work very well with others in synergies. Warriors are a lot of fun to start off with. Space bar X2 to wait two round to prepare your attack. Focus + Colossal strike with a good sledge hammer can hit up to 500HP damage! That's alotta damage for low level builds! I pair that with sword and shield to protect while preparing and switch over to Hammer when I strike! Or you can go the Ranged to swap out for melee. If you want to take the time you can change weapons when ever needed. You can swap out for a 3-4 weapon set . You just have to open inventory and place then in slots manually. Potions and buffs work great. Stocking up on stuff so you can use it for later...... So far I really did need them and didn't end up with 99 potions still not needed. I used up just about every scrolls and potion I could get my greedy little hands on. Warriors need less rest, hence can stock up on food much easier than casters. If you like these types of games I would recommend this game. I would like to see them put some more depth into the over world. Like the option to have an open sand box mode where you can visit each tile. Each tile could open up to a random generated map that co insides with what ever the tile set it is on. You could then hunt for food, gather herbs for making potions. Cut down trees for wood to craft other things. As of right now there is no kind of crafting in the game. Lots of spells to learn. Would be cool if we could have enchanting or something along those lines too.
Fun so far
Underrated roguelike. Definitely recommended!
This is better than all the "best" rouge-likes. I have played all of them. Shattered pixel dungeon is the best single dungeon and Rouge Empire is the best "open world" rouge-like. I dont understand how this isnt more popular.
Two huge thumbs up for this title, definitely scratched the Dungeonmans itch I've had. Thanks for your hard work developer!!
Twenty five years ago, I would have played this for hundreds of hours. But great as it is, I apparently have only played it 7.7 hours after two years.
Great roguelike dungeon crawler with nice rpg elements. Some builds are more difficult to master than others, but some of the classes and races are quite unique. It gets a little tiresome near the end of the main campaign, because of the huge amounts of enemies, but overall it's a great experience.
