About

Rogue Conflict is a game that combines the tactical depth of a wargame with the unpredictability of a roguelike.
Each campaign unfolds differently — maps, units, and upgrades change with every run.
Units lost are gone forever, and if you fail a campaign you will have to start a new one.

At the beginning of each new campaign you are presented with the option to pick one of fifteen unique armies, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Throughout the campaign you will also have to opportunity to customize your army by requesting new units and assigning upgrades to them to help further specialize your army.

All the maps in Rogue Conflict are procedurally generated, ensuring that no two runs are the same.
You'll need to carefully plan your attack at the beginning of each mission and make sure you use the maps terrain features to your advantage in order to complete each combat puzzle.

The difficulty in Rogue Conflict is designed to push your tactical skills to their limit.
When advancing your troops, you will have to do so with care, as your opponent will be ready to punish you for every little misstep along the way, and the roguelike nature of the game means that all decisions are final.

Fun tough game. It reminds me alot of Panzer Corp
Rogue Conflict is a fantastic rogue lite war game that brings depth for veterans of the genre and is welcoming for newcomers.
Interface by mohl být trošičku lepší na ovládání a obtížnost je docela vysoká, ale jinak zábavná hříčka na mnoho hodin.
Very challenging game. Even on the lowest difficulty. However, I have also discovered a game breaking bug. Upon the enemies turn, half way through the second mission. It freezes and just sticks there for the rest of eternity. Still... overall, good fun game.
Sold game. Short rounds. Punishing if you mess up. Just the way I like it.
This is a very challenging turn-based military strategy game, and highly recommended for those who enjoy tight resource and time management, unit positioning and synergies, and tactical planning. The game comes with several campaigns, each with a different starting army that you grow upon as you progress through the game. Some campaigns only get unlocked when you finish the game with available armies. Each campaign consists of 4 consecutive missions, the first three can be picked from 3 different options of difficulties, where the objective, terrain, and enemy army size varies. The last mission is always predetermined, but with random map layout. Each mission consists of one or more objectives, and often it is necessary to reach the other end of the map in order to finish the mission. The size of the maps can vary and sometimes it is a long distance to travel, and every mission has a limited amount of turns available during which a mission can be completed, so it's important to plan ahead. A good army composition is of a variety of units, and it's important to keep as many units alive through each mission as possible, for they will be needed for the following missions as well. Between each mission more units can be purchased depending on how well the mission went, based on a random selection of available units and upgrades. Morale is even more important than health, as it depletes faster and will turn a unit useless if it depletes too much. Not using a unit on a turn means that it is idle, during which it regains morale - this is extremely important to make use of in order to get through the missions. All units can level up through combat and the upgrades they get can make very useful synergies between different units. The greatest challenge is the fog of war, from which the enemy can sometimes emerge and attack. it's important not to overextend your army and let the enemy isolate your units. Recon units are invaluable, but remember they can only move once per turn unless they get an upgrade, so running too far into enemy territory can put you next to an enemy tank from which you can't escape. Using the environment for cover is very important, especially for "soft" units such as soldiers. It significantly reduces the amount of damage they take and sometimes they can even ambush approaching enemies for an advantage. I wholly recommend this game for anyone who finds this interesting. It's a stimulating challenge that may take several attempts to complete, but when victory is achieved it feels worthwhile and it unlocks something new.
honestly i really like it so far. Reminds me of a mix between something like panzer corps 2 mixed with something like the old advance wars games. Both of which im a fan of. I havent won a single campaign yet in my 4 hours playing as im still refining what i know about the games mechanics. Its also pretty challenging. The enemy units will definitely take advantage of your mistakes and healing up units isnt cheap. So the game definitely rewards slower more calculated game play. I do wish turn timers for missions were a tad longer than what they are. as even on the smaller maps and fewer enemy strength it can be very difficult to complete your objectives simply because youll often find your troops entangled with enemy troops that eat up a lot of turns and in some missions it feels near impossible to defeat the units standing in your way while also completing your objectives on time. over all its a pretty good game. Only had one crash so far and its just a good all around thinking game. Simple on the surface yet complex in practice. i think it makes for a good time for any strategy wargame fan.
Very nice. Morale + Strength combination adds depth, time pressure is real but not extreme, campaign has interesting choices.
As a fan of Panzer General and Advanced Wars this game should be perfect for me. Mixing classic strategy with rouge-like is brilliant. I really have no complaints about the missions, maps, or units... its all extremely well done. The issue is difficulty when learning. There are three starting armies to choose from and you even get to pick the strength of enemies in the missions you select but the lack of RP on later missions makes the game impossible for anyone but the most hardcore player. The developer has talked about adding an easy mode. I recommend this game but would suggest waiting for that update. Even just having the ability to add extra RP through a console command would make this immediately more playable. I look forward to seeing this game grow and evolve... and most importantly get the promised easy mode. Update: The latest update fixed my difficulty concerns. Great work! The only thing I'd love to see is the option to name units after they have gained some upgrades.
Rogue Conflict is a nice addition to my library, It's a pretty tough wargame with roguelike elements. It reminds me a lot of tabletop wargames and their campaign rules. The gameplay is hard and requires a bit of learning to find out what is most effective, the systems in play can be a bit punishing if you don't know exactly what you're doing. I enjoy learning game systems, and as someone pretty new to the wargaming side of things this was a nice step into it! Also I adore the art and music, It's simple and really nice to look at on the senses. I highly recommend!
