exquisite gameplay.
The release is too broken to justify a recommendation. I needed to use dgvoodoo2 and the framerate fix from PCGamingWiki, and there's still plenty of crashes - sometimes upon game overs, sometimes random). The one at the final boss fight hurt the most.
Skvelá hra, hrál jsem to s rodiči už jako malej kluk.
Tags: 3PHS - Third Person Hack & Slash Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: No Xbox360 pad. Floaty combat. Poor platforming controls. Texture loading issues. Tacky world setting. Outstanding issues: -No controller Support -Platforming is very hard to control and leads to many frustrating deaths as platforming is a huge part of this game -Combat is floaty, with no feeling of anything connecting with anything -AI is dumb as bricks -Took around 6 minutes and an alt tab for the protag's textures to load up, until then it was all pitch black textureless nonsense -Poor Sound Design -Cliched universe and protag, no exposition, just conan and orcs basically Other reviewers are running into pretty big bugs and issues Conclusion: Too dated, buggy, controls too badly so the overall experience is medicore at best
Not for me, game is too old with graphical glitches, and no sound volume slider, but I would have finished it anyway. But even with invulnerability and infinite lives, I found the constant insta-deaths anywhere tiring. Also if you quit the game or if it quits on you, and you didn't get to the end of a level for saving, you lose all your checkpoints' progress. If you are ready to quit it forever like me, at least give it a try with Cheat Engine. Who knows, maybe you'll like it that way, I did with oh so many games. Cheat Engine Spoilers:
Health, 4 BYTES, Value 100 for full green bar, 00540E68 = Rocko.exe+140E68 Lives, 4 BYTES, 005943E4 = Rocko.exe+1943E4, Value 5 default, put 999 or freeze.
End spoilers
No matter I tried, I had always 15 or so fps. Unplayable.
