Robot Incursion is a virtual reality wave shooter for SteamVR. You can't get away with just standing still and you will need to physically move around, taking cover and dodging bullets. You will need a play space of at least 2 x 1.5 metres.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

The high level of difficulty and slow pace make for a very frustrating experience. Not worth $18 in my opinion. One of the biggest annoyances is the size of the enemies. The game is hard enough as it is, so why make it more frustrating by having us shoot tiny spiders and wasps? I obviously didn't explore every bit of content this game has to offer, but it was enough for me to say no thanks.
First 30 minute MIXED REALITY and VR gameplay of Robot Incursion, enjoy guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyWzzUSGPho Short Review (will be updated soon): Robot Incursion is a surprisingly immersive, good looking and well made wave-based First Person Shooter in Virtual reality! The Mixed Reality feature is working and looks perfect in this game, as you freely move around in your roomscale area, shoot robots, hide behind objects and defend yourself in constant action. I really think Robot Incursion deserves more attention! Robot Incursion is a single player game (so far) and you play as a soldier defending your base, your teammates and of course yourself agains evil robots, space ships and creatures in a beautiful future-inspired environment. Being an early access title, Robot Incursion already contains plenty of different areas to play within, all of them with unique atmosphere, weather conditions, varied enemies and som impressive and detailed graphics and physics. The control system in Robot Incursion is really awesome, as you manually pick up, reload and hold the weapons with the Vive motion controllers and that really gives you total feeling of presence in VR. Standing and controlling the big turret weapon, or fireing off the Assault Rifle is something you just have to try out! Robit Incursion includes a simple training tutorial that lets let you practice your weapon handling before you move out and start playing this VR experience. AI and level of difficulty is quite high, and it really is a challenge to make it more than a few minutes on each wave/map/level. Well, I like this game and I hope more content, weapons and maps will be added soon. I will update my review when more time is spent on the game, and when more content is added. For now, Im recommending this game for all of you that likes wave-shooter FPS games, just give it a try - it IS nice! :)

Robot Incursion is a Free to play VR shooter game. It worked on my HTC Vive, Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has 1 training mission that is impossible to finish because the robots shoot with aimbot precision through cover with fast bullets from all directions. The other 5 missions were also too hard for the same reasons and more. Maybe try this game, if you like shooter games.
Simple and VERY HARD wave shooter where robots come after you. You start in a fixed position, from which you cant move, then different kind of robots start coming at you. To fight them off you have a turret that gets heated the more you shoot, a rifle with unlimited magazines you have to manually reload, a bunch of Grenades and a shield (weapons can change depending on the level) Once you get killed the game ends and you can choose a different level (6 to choose from). Graphics are nice the sound is great, you can actually know which way the enemies are coming from hearing them, and performance was decent. But as i said... this game is HARD, i dont know if the leaderboards have been live since release, but at the time of playing i got a first place position on one of the levels with only 5 kills, the most kills anyone has on any level is 11... So yeah, they are pretty hard robots to beat. While the game is pretty well done, with ok graphics and sound, Even as a free game, I think the Extreme difficulty level sucks out all the enjoyment you might get out of it, so i cant really recommend this except for masochists or something.

The game literally wouldn't let me shoot, I was pulling the trigger, the gun model was registering me pulling the trigger but it wouldn't shoot, I had a mag put in the gun and there was now firing pin thing to pull, but it still wasn't letting me shoot
1/5, I kept getting jumped
"Robot Incursion" is a lame, asset flip looking stationary wave survival shooter where you wave your arms around to shoot waves of robots in various stock asset looking backgrounds. I'm pretty sure they're flipped, anyway. Like who would go through all the trouble of creating all those assets to drop them on a basic wave survival VR tech demo like this? What do you do in the game? You do very little. Stand still, point at robots, and if you're lucky the game will work and the robot assets will be shot. If you are even luckier, the game won't work and you can move on to better things. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $20 USD for this. Yes, TWENTY DOLLARS. Talk about delusions of grandeur. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Before I played Robot Incursion, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
