Road 96: Mile 0

game doesn't deserve the hate.. ending was very cool

If I had only gotten one word, it would be: mid. The game is just completely mid, nothing special about it. I really enjoyed the original game playing through it twice and 100% it, but this didn't hit as good. It felt like a rushed story with subway surfers elements really interrupting. If you enjoyed Road 96, I would play this just to get a feel of Zoe's story, but if you don't feel a strong need and are hesitating I wouldn't. I would also not buy at full price, rather on sale. All in all, a short story worth it if you are interested in lore and Zoe's story. Mid.

If you're considering buying this game because you liked the original, then don't. If you want a glorified temple run with cutscenes, then go ahead. The rhythm mechanic completely ruins the game because it drags you out of the relaxing environmental storytelling to a completely opposite game. Where the first game nails the setting and pacing, the second one adds a rhythm game that is genuinely nothing more than a worse feeling temple run which completely drags you out of the atmosphere and story. I am really dissapointed to make this review. However, I believe that the product I expected from the established series was so far from the actual game that I felt compelled to write a review.

Mira que no quería creer las críticas de que parecía un Subway Surfers... pero es la realidad. Justo acabo de terminar Road 96 y me ha encantado, me ha parecido uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado y al enterarme de que existía este prólogo y estaba en oferta por 2 euros y poco no dudé... pero me siento defraudado totalmente apenas llevo 30 minutos y ya va 2 veces de varios minutos cada una que me hace jugar a un subway surfers ultra aburrido... yo quiero conocer la historia no jugar a un juego de móvil... Y es una pena porque yo creo que a Zoe es un personaje que todo jugador le tenía un cariño especial y se ha desperciado la oportunidad de ampliar el mundo de ROAD 96 de una buena manera... Otro aspecto ultra negativo respecto al ROAD 96 es que este prólogo lo han optimizado fatal, teniendo bajones inexplicables de 80 o más fps a 40 o menos, lo que lo hace bastante molesto, Con mucha pena me veo forzado a pedir el reembolso.

Road 96 fans, this pre-sequel is about Zoe and her best friend. The story takes place before Road 96. The plot part of the story describes the entire beginning of what happened/is happening in Road 96. Although it can be seen in the trailer and screenshots, the game plays differently than Road 96, although it doesn't matter at all. The game still has the same atmosphere, is more focused on music, action and reaction and relies on the plot twist. The game is incredibly catchy and describes a beautiful prelude to Zoe and her adventure. Don't expect a game for long hours of play, but for the few hours (in my case 4 hours) it is completely sufficient. Players who condemn the game just because it deviated from the original style of the game are doing it wrong. I also had doubts at the beginning, but they were completely transferred through the beautiful plot, story and overall execution of the game. Aside from a few glitches, the game is amazing. 9/10

It's quite different from first game. While the Story is alright but nothing special, the new minigame ride ruined aal the flow of the game and i wanted to quit the game many times because of that.

8/10 Приквел к Road 96. Удачно реализован, та же стилистика, отлично интегрированы испытания со скейтом, музыка во время прохождений также приятна ушам. Хорошо раскрыли сам город изнутри, его жителей и классовое неравенство. Понравилась визуализация того как Зои сомневается, говорит ли ее друг правду или лжет. Финал отличный, в нем нет победителей и проигравших, там есть только подростки, которые пытаются спастись. Советую брать только со скидкой и в наборе с road 96, так будет выгодней и целесообразней.
