Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ok game but ledge grabing feels horrible
A far cry from the first entry. To begin it stutters on direct X 11 and 12. I could forgive that much if not for the creative risks the team took in implementing ledge mechanics, shielding, grabs, nerfing parries and punishing Orcane. Good lord what did yall do to my boy? I bought it on sale due to curiosity, none of my friends will touch it. All my personal qualms aside, this is frakensteins monster, it is a clutter of mechanics sewn together in a fashion that doesnt work. Rivals of Aether unfortunately beats the hell out of its successor. I had high hopes for this project. It looks ok, the artists did a good job, but this is too much like smash ultimate
Bad game, bad community, do not play. The whole game is to reward stupid people for being stupid by giving the easiest characters insanely braindead options and making the basic counterplay require 100 hours of execution practice - basically, you have to waste a bunch of your life just to reach the skill floor for even beginning to apply intelligent gameplay, and then the game's just a worse Melee anyway since you're just going to be playing Fox vs. Marth the whole time in this game too. It's a dumb game made to reward dumb people and the dev team has absolutely no understanding of game design - or maybe they're intentionally creating a game for stupid people, in which case they're geniuses. I dunno.

Still a horrible game released in a buggy unfinished state and never got fixed
my wife left me cause im not a stango fan
Can the Devs please add dashing out of shields and aerials? Being forced to double tap to dash out of shield is really annoying. Coming from Rivals 1, the absolute freedom of movement is what made me enjoy the game so much. Also, I know controller players have to time their dashes, but why not remove that timing requirement so everyone can auto dash? The "skill cap" argument is annoying because, with all the ways to cancel your dash in Rivals 1, why would I ever not want to be always dashing? Let me focus on learning the dash cancels and tech to get my tilts out. To say this again, I know controller players have to time or double tap to get out of their dashes, but why not create an auto dash option for controllers too? Much like L-canceling, it doesn't create new options it just makes the game more frustrating to play. That aside rivals will also be my favorite plat fighter.
