Ritual: Crown of Horns is a violent, horde mode, top-down fast-paced action game set in an alternate Wild West, an absurd, acid-fueled vision of hellish frontier.

I won't lie, this game isn't perfect. It's at times clunky and clumsy. But damn, am I glad I took a chance despite the negative reviews. This game is definitely not for those who want a whole lot of variety--what you get in the first level is likely what you're going to get in the last level--but if you're looking for an an arcadey feel, just something to shut your brain off, this game delivers. I haven't tried mouse-and-keyboard gameplay yet, but gamepad controls feel intuitive and smooth--at times just the littlest bit clunky in the aiming mechanic, but I'm glad the game has one--so many twinstick shooters don't give you that. The plot is better than I expected, from the writing to the concept to the art. The graphics are pretty good, for what it is. The whole thing is polished--menu design, sound design, score, everything. I'd argue the game is worth just about twenty bucks, but when it's on sale it can hit $3.99, which is a steal, in my opinion. If you've got the budget for a McDonald's meal right now, you've got money to buy this gem on sale--which, at the time of writing, is until the end of the week. Take a chance. Be an undead cowboy and put bullets in cultists. It's a wild ride.
It’s great. Took me around 6 hours to complete. Then spent a couple more grinding for bonus items for fun. Good atmosphere, good mechanics, mild level of difficulty. If you like twin stick shooters and the Wild West you have to give it a go!
Ritual: Crown of Horns Game has a real "American Gods" vibe to it. Needless to say this game is fcking bad ass. I love the whole theme and the fact its set in a version of America. I hope like hell more games in this universe happen. Also love the fact you guys made the idea of multivers a thing from the jump. Fck I am looking forward to whatever you guys do next.
Very dynamic game, with interesting setting and rewarding gunslinging mechanics:)
Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me? Who the ♥♥♥♥, ever, like ever ever ever, when playing a twin stick shooter, wants to abuse the thumbstick buttons and make them broken/wonky, by clicking in the thumbstick to reload? You realize clicking them in, breaks them, right!? It's bad enough you have to take the thumb off the aim stick (twin stick shooter) to dash instead of using a bumper/trigger to dash, but to reload by only being able to abuse the clicking in of the thumbstick. WTAF!? PC controls are just as bad in the ability you can't map ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. FFS, it's 2021. LET US MAP OUR CONTROLS HOW WE WANT TO PLAY. I mean failing mapping controls, you don't even have different presets... Such a shame as I was genuinely looking forward to playing this, now it's an abortion i'll never touch that gives you a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ achievement for dying right at the start because, "yeah we're simpletons who need to die at start" This will be the last game I ever buy by the ♥♥♥♥ chump in charge of UX/controls. Utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke. I'm leaving this review because fans of twin stick shooters/top down shooters, will be likely just as blown away by the lack of control options and even more gobsmacked you can't map ♥♥♥♥. I am playing a PC game, right!? o.O IF, and read that as you totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ should, TODAY, allow for mapping of controls, I will come back and delete/update this review with an actual gameplay review. But as it stands, it's already screaming "inaccessibility" and thus I can't actually play the gameplay.
Bit too simple gameplay, but with awesome style and interesting story.
