About
The world doesn’t run on miracles—it runs on middle management. At the DMF, we provide everyday solutions for everyday people. Whether a client needs to curse a noisy neighbor or "liquidate" a difficult boss, every ritual must be filed, verified, and processed through your desk first. With 5 possible endings and 90+ receipt outcomes.
Process the Public: Open incoming requests from a colorful cast of disgruntled citizens. From petty hexes to life-altering rituals, it’s your job to get the paperwork right.
Consult the Manual: Flip through your color-coded DMF handbook to verify ritual components. Cross-reference sigils, check for smudged glyphs, and ensure every soul is accounted for.
Activate & Resolve: Once the ritual circle is set, trigger the magic. With 90+ unique outcomes, you’ll see exactly how your clerical work affects the mortal realm.
Fraud Detection: Some clients try to skip the fees with hand-drawn counterfeits. Identify the fakes and use your REPORT stamp to protect the DMF’s bottom line.
DMF Compliance: Accuracy is mandatory. Perform the wrong ritual or miss a counterfeit, and you’ll receive a Compliance Violation letter. The DMF doesn't do "warnings"—they do fines. Watch your seal count drop with every mistake.
Tactile Bureaucracy: Experience the heavy "thump" of the stamps, the mechanical glide of the receipt printer, and the satisfying "clink" of seals hitting your collection bowl.
Complete your shifts, maximize your daily earnings, and grow your wallet. As you settle into your role as a ritual clerk, the expectations will rise—but so will the rewards. The paperwork never ends... and the DMF is always watching.

Reviews
Came into this game as a fan of Papers, Please and That's Not my Neighbor, so grain of salt of that bias in my review! First of all, it is super cute. I love the vibes - its somehow cozy and haunting and corporate all in one, which is a vibe I don't think that I've seen before. In terms of gameplay, its good, but it feels like its missing something to cement being a come-back-to game. Each day/game segment feels fast paced and fun, but the storyline itself is fairly sparse and takes a long time to develop which can make it feel like there is nothing going on at all. There isn't a sense of time or building up to anything, and I often found myself forgetting the events that did happen because they were far between and not super memorable. There is very little in terms of advancement that makes the payment system feel like anything we need to keep track of. Not saying I am a fan of microtransactions in games, but it is nice when there are cosmetics for your space, advancements you can unlock for your station, even something like being able to pay for a nicer apartment even if you ever see it - something to work towards beyond just two cosmetic hands and a seemingly endless goal without much else. I mean, you can use them to save yourself from the audit, but I didn't find I made enough mistakes or the price wasn't high enough or my only other expenses - rent and ingredients - didn't feel like enough pressure that I was ever worried about affording that. Another thing is the game's information system - there are few instructions on how to play beyond "interpret this best you can" and "detect fraud" without any sort of walk through on how to actually read and do those things. I STILL can't figure out how to detect fraud requests. I might just be totally stupid and its staring me in the face, but its a little hard when there is essentially no help from the game itself and just entirely "figure it out" The quota system also feels impossible. I know its not required, just bonus seals which, like I mentioned earlier isn't really something that adds pressure to my gameplay, but I feel like I play pretty quickly and you would have to have all the ingredients memorized, be able to read super quickly, and make literally zero mistakes or hesitations to reach the quota. I didn't get very far, but if the quota keeps just increasing every time you beat it without any time extensions or powerups or anything like that, I can see it being more of an annoying reminder instead of a fun challenge that has any real impact on the story. Its a good game, I enjoyed my time in it, but it doesn't feel like its quite done yet. It feels like there are features that I was expecting that are missing. Again, note my game biases! My opinion, try it out for yourself!

For the price of the game, it is a fun and short play. I love that your decisions matter in this game, and even though it can sometimes feel repetitive, it is absolutely worth it.

It feels like an empty shell of a game and it's a disappointing waste of potential. I loved the idea of a witchy fantasy "Papers Please". The game starts out incredibly grindy and tested my patience vigorously. The story didn't progess AT ALL during the first 30 minutes of the game at least. No gameplay progress either, just repeating the same 10 rituals over and over which you can memorize easily. I loved the premise though so I pushed through to give it a chance - I thought there HAD to be something coming up story wise here. After all Papers Please could get grindy at times as well. Well, the one ending I managed to achieve (after 2h of gameplay mind you) was underwhelming to say the least. It was basically a guy writing me a letter, you telling him yes or no through a ritual like 3 times over and then suddenly the game's over. No explanation what happened behind the scenes or what your decisions' concequences are. The gameplay doesn't improve either, the rituals stay the same, you just have to set an additional stamp on some of them and they add fraudulent requests to mess your day up a bit. The difficulty gets amped up by corporate setting you a goal of 20 rituals a day at first, which is hard, but possible to achieve, and 25 rituals later which I didn't even manage during the first days when I replayed, had all the rituals memorized and no handicaps applied due to it being the first days again. There's no penalty for not reaching the goal though, just a reward of 10 measly credits extra that day. Those didn't feel like a reward either since you'll be able to completely buy out the shop after the first few days. All in all I can just say I'm bitterly disappointed. The worldbuilding and style of this game are an amazing start but at the end it feels like a template that wasn't filled out yet. To the developers: Please fill this game with content. Build on the ideas you already set up and make something out of this. I would love to have a fleshed out campaign with actual deeper stories, a view into the worldbuilding and more complex rituals and fickle regulations to keep it challenging instead of just putting you under time pressure without concequences.
For a game that's three dollars, it's a pretty fun game to play with when you're bored. The aesthetic of the game is very academia-coded with some gothic twists about making rites. I think overall that maybe there needs to some more pressure on the seal system (maybe more upgrades or items) because you can easily rank up seal in the game quickly and the rent and mistakes given don't really give you pressure to make money or meet quota in my opinion. Another thing I think should probably be improved on is the fraud system, which I feel could be on my part but I feel like it almost impossible to even see them. I always got them wrong no matter how much I looked at it but again, it could be on my part. Overall, I think it's a pretty good game to play, especially for the price, so I'll definitely play some more another time.
I came into this game thinking: "Hey its papers please but with magic and sorcery! This sounds pretty cool" For 3 euros its an absolute steal of a game. Although short, and also just having been released, i love the gameplay and even the little story there is to it. Game progresses adding more rules until the end, and although it can become somewhat repetitive, I will for sure be 100% this game! 10/10 Highly recommend!
For a $3 game, it's pretty fun. The magic system is neat and while the story takes a second to get started, it's still fun and engaging. However, the crow's delivery takes so much of the precious time to fill the quota, and the seals barely have any worth. It's too easy to amass a lot of seals so that rent and supplies is barely a concern after the first couple days. It's fun and worth the money, just don't expect a high-pressure game.
I played for 7 in-game days and up to that point found it pretty boring. It has nice visuals and a cool concept idea but gameplay barely changes in this time. I assume it's so the player can get used to the base mechanics before introducing something like the stamps, but I found this portion way too long and the base mechanics too shallow, after the first day I had a solid memory of what most things were and by day 3 I was a stamp machine, making over 50 stamps each day. The blurry drawings were kinda interesting but they were there on like one or two spells per day and all they did was make the process take some 3 seconds longer. The subway parts were nice but having like 3 in a row with an interaction and then 2 without one feels like the game ran out of content. I wish it had more to it, maybe you have to do some preparation with the ingredients like grinding salt or cleaning bones so depending on the spell the process is actually different, not only what option you pick but what you have to do. I also felt like only 4 options for both sides was very little, made it super easy to memorize. It mentions "vague descriptions" at the start but they really do not come into play, maybe instead of a splash of what was used for the left item give me a little letter describing what the person did, maybe the handwriting is bad or the person doesn't make it very clear what they did so the player needs to read it carefully. Heck you could throw characters into it, if you've been keeping up with what which person has been doing you can figure out what they mean in their letter. Oh and definitely the shop is extremely small. A single useful upgrade, the 20 seals advancement is just unnecessary, the "pay seals to clear your record" is nice but when the game is this easy it isn't much needed, I used it once because I refused the bag search in the subway and that was it. The pixel art font for the book works but the other one is very bad looking. You can read it but it looks broken almost all the time. Also doesn't feel very polished, it's hard to explain something like this but I wish interactions had more feedback, makes it feel like you're interacting with a world instead of clicking images. There's definitely more that can be said but I'm gonna end here. I paid 11.99 BRL which is very cheap for a game but for the quality of the product I don't feel like I got my money's worth, I think maybe half of that or some 2,50 would fit. 5/10 Could become something cool if it had more depth to it. Good try for a first publish.
