semi aesthetically pleasing in looks, like a smooth textured pixel sprite, with a semi 2.5d feel (its quite clean). unfortunately, that's it. controls are horrendous, going forward is not the direction of the mouse or character(or even the control menu 'forward = w' 75%), but a set direction to the level : the map doesnt move- to go through a (left) door on a vertical axis instead of pointing forward and 'w'ing in the door, you will 'e' through the door. Gunfights are for the hotline hero's, not people like me, enemies are pretty good at what they do. The second level was a slog. i got the shot gun but between the janky controls and extremely clippy walls. To fork out for this game, some would call you a RISKER. I feel like a loser.

I don't know what it was, but this game looked exciting from the trailer. But when I played it my excitement soon faded, the controls are terrible, changing the controls to 'alternative' made it a little better to handle the guy, but driving is still pants! I'm glad it cost less than pound, if I bought it at say £5 or above I feel even worst. I can't understand why my guy is so slow walking or driving. I might be doing something wrong how would I know. I'll keep it maybe someone might pick it up and do something with it one day so its a keep in the library. Shame so potential..
the companion ai doesn't always shoot when there's an enemy next to him so you get killed, the race timing is too tight, your car get stopped by the smallest object possible and you don't even notice if you have a fast car or not.

Let me start this by saying that the game isn't good. It's more of a medium title and does neither deserve a thumbs up or a thumbs down. It's also a more slow paced game. The character movement isn't agile and the cars top speed are also low. You could say that the game is more going for a more realistic approach, if you are generous, especially given that you die with a hit or two. The same goes for the enemies though, which makes for a fun gameplay loop in my opinion. People complain that the AI is dumb and marches straight into gunfire, which is true. But this is balanced by them being absolutely deadly if you screw and if you run out of ammo at the wrong time or backed yourself into a bad corner, you are usually done for. Weapons are projectile based, but given the narrow confines of a house and your low walking speed, doging them isn't easy. Especially the sniper rifle and shotgun are brutal in that regard. As for the open world, it allows for a more relaxed pace and as a break between the story missions. It also has GTA style side content, like races, Rampages and side quests. They don't give you anything as far as I'm aware, but given that they take place in the open world, they have a different pace to them. Some of them are also kind of funny, like the cat lover gang. There is a weird decision though. When finishing a story mission, you keep all of your guns from said mission, but once you start a new mission, you lose them and have to start from scratch. And all ammo you use during an open world mission is lost when you die. But all in all, I think the game is fine for the 5€ price tag.
DEAR GOD! The traffic cars won't be easy with their horn honking, and they are a tad TOO LOUD! No options to turn down road ambient noises alone. Loudness radius would help too, fyi. And why tf I wrote a review for a near-unknown 8 y.o. game. Never mind...
