Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

big badaboom on monster
As a fan of risk of rain 2 I wasn't expecting much but still wanted to try out the original experience and I was not disappointed somehow even tho it's 2d it's still as chaotic and fun as ror2 and yet still feels different really recommended

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 25: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Bought this game because of its local co-op support and was left a bit underwhelmed. We start with two characters which didn't offer enough immediate variance between runs for three people. It felt like progression was quite slow since we only unlocked the enforcer and bandit after a couple of hours of playing. There were some scale issues when playing on a TV since we needed enough room that we could occasionally spread out without the camera getting wonky which meant that everything was very small. In this game if you jump off a bridge, all of your friends follow you instead of the other way around. The screen limitations completely negated at least one active item (Marble Gate), though to be honest that was kind of hilarious. It was easy to get punished by bad seeds since in local co-op the entire team needs to move as one and you can't split up to discover the gate so its possible a lot of time is wasted if you start searching the wrong direction. If you've already played this game single player or with online co-op and you have unlocked characters/artifacts then you're probably in for a good time. But don't expect to really unlock anything over the course of natural play when playing strictly local co-op.
making the game crash cause i spawned 100+ overloading worms at once is this games version of an obliterate ending

One way and only ONE way to play... SHRINE OF THE MOUNTAIN!
want more ror2, here you are! unlike most remakes this is good
i love this game
Risk of Rain Returns is a remaster done well. While being faithful, the remaster improves many aspects of the game, such as the graphic, gameplay, characters, etc. That just goes to show how long you're going to be spending your time on this. It has a nice build up, but sooner or later, you will be chasing that high. The moments where you just want to have that one more good run. Just one more. Buy this game, doesn't matter if it's full price or not, it'll worth your time!
Game is crap. It's never not been crap. All we have here is the return of crap.
