How about a well-rounded powerhouse who focuses on bringing the pain with missile bombardments and automatic rifles? Armored Core 6 Like Customisation paired with Rogue-Like Leveldesign and Upgrade Paths during missions (called "Raids"). Thank you so much for this one!
My recommendation has an asterisk* The game has all of the core features and mechanics that the dev advertised, and it is clear a lot of passion went into it's many systems and weapons. Once you get used to the pacing and forgive some of the flaws, it's very fun. Now for the asterisk*: this game feels very lacking in polish. I didn't encounter any bugs or performance issues, but the pacing feels all over the place. Often you are stuck in a very large room and have to run out your booster 3 times before you get to your objective. There was one time where the boss had moved to the other side of the map by the time I actually arrived at the boss marker. When you arrive at an objective there's plenty to do, but the in-between time is long and empty. Additionally, the melee animations are pretty disappointing. They don't have any sense of weight or intensity like the game that inspired this one, and it made playing my favorite archetype of mech kind of boring. All in all, everything is there and this game is quite the accomplishment. I wouldn't say it needs more time in the oven, rather I wish more resources were dedicated to fine-tuning the game loop and animations.

RIG Riot is an amazing game that lovers of Armored Core and any mecha game should at least give a shot. The combat is snappy, the difficulty scales well and customization is nearly infinite. The game also kind of reminds me of Risk of Rain 2 but with AC mechanics. I'm looking forward to spend a ton of hours in this game. The only thing I can complain about is that slower RIG builds tend to be less enjoyable for me, but that's just my opinion. TL;DR - 9.5/10
15 hours on Demo, was able to carry over my save to full game. Rare case of demo being more enjoyable and tuned better than full game. Cheat engine doesn't help either. XP on kill was removed and flare bosses have their health & resistances over tuned,. Requiring 3 minutes to get bosses half health, and their ability to heal >40% hp from a single hit on you will make it worse. Weak gun fire and reload automatically with the trigger held. Strong ones need to be pressed repeatedly. Pressing the same four buttons literally hundreds of times to get a life bar from 100% to 30% just to watch the boss heal zoom back to full has caused literal wrist pain from mashing triggers on controllers. Building a Rig in an attempt to burst the boss down will give you a glass cannon build that will result in being one shot from, trash enemies, flare bosses will outright delete you when they spawn in with homing missiles and lasers It is possible to build a Rig to tank the hits, but we circle back to not having required mobility or dps to actually kill the boss before they manage to heal. With XP removed on killing trash mobs, you will be incredibly weak. Upgrades were given on Objective completion and on a certain number of kills. Without XP you won't be able to even see the other pieces of your build you had planned when meticulously selecting building your rig, let alone finding upgrades that actually with your max of 3 unlockable rerolls. It is common to get rerolls waste being forced to reroll a weapon upgrade because it's a weapon without a magazine that got nothing but weapon magazine upgrades. Being able to reach level 46 with all your items upgraded is no longer a possibility. You will be lucky to make it past level 18 with the current state of this. The item pool is insanely large and varied, it was probably what I loved about the game until I experienced these changes. Rig parts are dropped randomly from boss crates and objective crates, as well as Rig components that socket into the Rig parts to increase a specific stat. With these changes trying to get items and actually use your build, that will never reach 20% of it's full potential is that absolute worst. As it stands if no changes are made I would only recommend if it was under $5 for how terrible this feels. If the changes are rolled back to the demo scaling it's a for sure buy at normal price with how in depth the customization is, being able to fly around nonstop with a light halfway upgraded build was amazing. Never being upgraded enough to actually fly around in my Rig killed it for me. If your plan is to use Cheat Engine to wire yourself XP, that isn't an option an what you can cheat will not help either, I tried. If there's no change in two weeks, I'm refunding before I run out of time. I don't want to but this isn't fun with the grind.
Fun fast placed mech game. Very good demo too.
potentially good, I have some complaints tho there is no intermediate between gliding and turbo boosting, even when I tried to hold shift, i always perfom a really powerful dash, so my movement options, for horizontal movement are: glide slowly, dash with a distance so long Ill just fly past me ammo supply station/loot drop/etc. Give me something like a medium boost that is activated on holding shift or alt key, idk. Also saber using gun upgrades is hilarious, pls fix.
AC6 but Rouge, fun game!
Very good. has some hiccups but dev seems committed to ironing out the wrinkles. Graphics - potato/10 Gameplay - 9/10 Story - the wind/10 Customization - Infinity/10 Future Potential - 11/10 Conclusion - If the dev keeps deving then this might end up being the best armoredcoren't game ever.
Target verified. Commencing hostilities. (long live sage!)
