Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 7 → 1.14/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Begin with a single base and gradually transform it into an interstellar power.
Colonize new worlds, construct fleets, organize supply lines, manipulate markets, train spies, raid rivals and build influence across a galaxy that continues developing in real time.
Riftborne is a slow-burn sci-fi grand strategy game built around long term planning. Campaigns can unfold over days, weeks or even months. Small decisions compound over time, supply problems become military crises, minor rivals become major powers, and carefully prepared plans can reshape the galaxy.
A successful empire depends on more than military strength.
Manage production, storage and logistics across multiple colonies. Establish trade routes and resource shipments. Develop specialized worlds, maintain defensive networks and prepare your economy to survive prolonged wars.
Send spies to gather intelligence, sabotage rivals and expose enemy weaknesses. Hire galactic operatives, negotiate with other powers and use economic pressure when direct conflict would be too costly.
The galaxy remembers what happens within it through campaign histories, rankings, medals and long term progression.
Enemy powers adapt to your behavior, including patterns established across previous saves.
Procedural galaxies create different strategic geography each campaign, while long running systems allow alliances, rivalries and economic dependencies to develop naturally over time.
Play a solo campaign at your own pace.
Host a private server locally, online or through SSH.
Join regularly scheduled official multiplayer galaxies with factions and up to 120 commanders competing inside the same persistent universe.
Riftborne is deliberately dense, patient and information driven.
It is made for players who enjoy learning interconnected systems, gradually building momentum and watching early decisions produce consequences much later.

I have been looking for a game like this for a long time. It's an amazing example of a terminal based game. The strategy elements are indepth and engaging. The devs are lovely, dedicated and active in the discord. Some of the mechanics could be better explained but they are constantly improving on the codex and are always helpful within the discord. It is well worth the price. However, be aware that this is a major time sink, it can be overwhelming at first, and it is a work in progress. It plays like an idler and is a great charming game to have on in the background, military operations can last hours if not utilising the in-game fast forward. Can run on most machines I would imagine, not intensive at all.
I absolutely love this game. Not only is it beautiful in a way that tickles my brain just right, but it also has a lot of great depth to the content. The community is also very helpful and welcoming if any questions arise. Very highly recommend playing!

This is a really interesting game, and perfect to have open while I'm studying or working. However! I've run into two major problems which unfortunately make this a title I can't recommend. First, the advance time function is dramatically slow, taking upwards of fifteen minutes of real time to pass thirty minutes of in-game time. I've got a decent computer so I don't believe it's a hardware bottleneck. Second, it has crashed my entire computer, full on BSoD, three times while advancing time. Again, really cool game, love the style, big respect to the developer. But for some reason it just seems to hate my computer.
An awesome game. Super friendly and responsive community/development team. Super deep, frequently updated, and super cheap. A must for any people who love 4x games.
Pros: + Linux Support. (Run it in a terminal) + Old School Vibes + Multiplayer (Gather you victims - I mean friends). + Fair Price + Friendly Discord/Community Cons: None that I can think of. Would buy again.
Very in-depth gameplay. 45 hours in, I feel like I am scratching the surface.
outstanding game concept. I have high hopes for this game charming, terminal based gameplay nice music deep systems to engage with great tutorial and codex multiplayer
文本量巨大,没有中文,需要极高的耐心才能正常玩,很挑受众。教程几乎等于没有,只有一坨大量文本的说明书
Probably the first 4X-style game I've actually enjoyed, its unlike anything I've played! There is a small amount of RTFM to do, but after that it feels like the whole game opens up. Development is very active so I only see this getting better. Highly recommend if you like working with deep, interlinked systems and having access to diverse player builds. Outstanding value for the price.
