We need more ongeki clones
Feels really awkward with switching from keyboard to mouse mid song. Also whats the point of multi notes, why not just map it with purpose? Will change review ocasionally with updates. Cool song choice so far though.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There have already been many attempts to use the mouse in PC rhythm games, but this game implements it in a way that feels quite comfortable and easy to accept. The mouse controls do not feel like a gimmick added just to emphasize uniqueness. Instead, they naturally blend into the core concept of alternating between keyboard and mouse. On top of that, the multi-note gimmick — I’ll just call it that for now — where notes come down across multiple lanes, could have easily ended up looking like the long notes commonly seen in mobile rhythm games. However, this game manages to incorporate it in its own style, creating satisfying patterns that require not only physical skill, but also visual tracking and quick judgment. There are not many songs yet, but it is already a promising game with a clearly defined style of its own. Once the game fully releases and Workshop support or custom patterns become available, I have no idea how bizarre its difficulty and gimmicks might become. Still, I think it could be a refreshing drop of rain for players who have been thirsting for rhythm games with fresh gimmicks and unique pattern design, like Sound Voltex or Dynamix. That said, since this is a rhythm game, I think difficulty inflation will be somewhat inevitable, much like how cheating is almost bound to follow popular FPS games. Even so, I hope the game does not lose its own identity in that process. As the difficulty rises, I hope it develops in a way that preserves its unique keyboard-and-mouse gameplay and gimmicks, rather than simply flooding the screen with notes mindlessly. That is my small hope for the game. English translation assisted by generative AI.
Rhythmstrike Review Comment (English): "Rhythmstrike is rhythm gaming's way of saying 'we heard you like challenges.' The soundtrack slaps harder than your keyboard when you miss a note, and the visuals are hypnotic enough to make you forget you're losing. Each level is a puzzle wrapped in beats—you'll rage, you'll retry, you'll somehow keep coming back for more punishment. Perfect difficulty balance that respects skill without holding your hand. If you want a rhythm game that genuinely challenges you, this is it. Highly addictive." Altamente viciante." There should be a button to reset the settings to default in each settings tab. It would also be cool to have pre-made command projects, while also allowing users to save their own creations. There should also be a way to use music from Steam and add it into the game. It would also be important to add Brazilian Portuguese language support. In my opinion, these are some things that could be improved in this game.
Neat rhythm game. It lacks songs in its current stage (and no customs either), but the general structure looks to be there, and the current presentation is pleasing For the lower difficulties, it is a keyboard + mouse game, reminiscent of Spin Rhythm but with three button presses. The highest difficulty does force you to put both hands on the keyboard for certain sections, turning it into a 6-key rhythm game. This schism in feature set being decided between difficulties is a bit weird, though I don't mind it since I primarily prefer the keyboard + mouse sections. Anyhow, I like any rhythm game that uses mouse inputs (Spin Rhythm, MuseSwipr, Estella). It's free, so try it out.
I'm super impressed, it's more of a traditional rhythm game take on spin rhythm. The game wants you to switch your hand that uses the mouse (you can switch a setting in game if you're right or left handed) in certain parts of the song, and so far gives you ample of time to switch. Really banger charting so far with the mechanic. A little bit confused as the start where I was expecting a switch mid-song but didn't happen like I was watching the trailers, but apparently on intermediate or lower difficulty song, it's always a 3 button left hand and a right hand mouse gameplay. Only at expert or above where the switching happens. The visuals gimmicks so far are impressive and are used tastefully, it can change the view angle of where you are seeing the notes, blackouts are done tastefully that matches the music and don't block/mess with the gameplay. I hope this game become succesful and have a lot of DLCs to add music cause the gameplay is really great. If there's one criticism I would have, it's the removal of optional multi notes (where the notes can span 2 or more length, but you just need to press one of the buttons). I get that they're using it to confuse you, but I'd prefer if they just decide which singular button for me to press.
skill level for context: I got at least an A in all charts on expert difficulty This is a very promising concept that is a lot of fun to learn, though the execution could use some work. My main concern is that the charting is kind of ass, in that I very often feel like the rhythm I'm tapping has literally nothing to do with the song and the song is actively distracting me or misleading me to think the rhythm is something that it's not. The campaign mode is also just kinda whatever, a lot of the goals are "get x max combo" which is like barely related to how well you're doing at all and can feel like tedious grinding instead of trying to play well. I also find it bizarre that your profile stats don't update when playing the campaign...? Last main thing is that I find it kind of odd how ONLY expert charts have you swapping between mouse and kb which is like, the main gimmick of the game??? Luckily I'm familiar enough with rhythm games that I was able to jump to expert immediately but if someone wasn't then the lower difficulties could not help them build up to expert all that well, as playing expert is the only way to get experience with it. I'm very much also hoping that we'll get crosshands at some point, without them the game feels kinda incomplete, though given how few charts there are as of writing I totally understand why they were kept on the easier side. A small sidenote as well: not having audio calibration is already pretty strange, but even stranger is having the audio delay setting as a slider that is so sensitive that at some values 1 pixel of mouse movement is 2ms of setting, like come on just make it a text input like every other game ever....
