So far I've had a'lot of fun exploring the island to find what quests and unique places there are. I found this old lady who was looking for her son who had been out with his party for many days and i came across many interesting monsters and loot on my way to find him. The developer is also active in Discord and there are many bugs being fixed.
Remember that rpg with that guy with the sword and ♥♥♥♥? It's kinda like that...but different.
It's a big world, but the game nheeds a bit less of everything and a bit more fun.
When I first started RFVR it felt like back in the day, when I first played Morroowind. This game in an OpenWorld RPG. The dev is adding new stuff to game on a regular basis. The features in the game are well implemented. I love the bow. If you draw the string after some time you can see the aim pionter to easily hit your targets. the same goes for Pistols. That really helps. You can gather resources and cooking increadients. And you can loot the weapons of enemies. And there is village building as well. You can built an armory, or a bowmaker in the villages you visit. It is a lot of fun. You can even add elements to your weapons. There is so much to do in the game, I can't post it all here. I really love the game!
A beautiful game — objects don’t suddenly pop into view in front of my eyes, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. That tower where the relics are located looks magical even from a distance. However, it has many shortcomings. You can’t crouch in the game; there’s no button for it. The UI is terrible, and the cities are underdeveloped and unattractive compared to the landscape — and this is what players will notice first. If a few things were fixed, and a few more castles and fortress-like structures were added, and the game were further developed overall, it could grow into one of the best VR games. Please continue improving it, because some elements are so beautiful they literally leave me speechless.
Im so in love with this game! There is sooo much to do. You can build the town up, smith your weapons, create spell books and potions, mine. Its also got a great multiplayer mode you can do with your friends and make new ones! if you want to stand in a horde of your favorite enemies and mow them down with you sword theres an arean for that. You want to take on a castle and find a hidden passage that leads to a room with really cool relics, do it. Soooo many missions. The world is HUGE and its beautiful. The attention to detail is breathe taking. Someone could forget they are in the middle of exploring when you stand on a mountain looking at the sun set over tye water. The pony carts and sailing are pretty cool too! The devs of this game are really passionate about rfvr and it shows! they are super cool people and always listen to the players wants and needs, the game is always being added to. it is by far, no lie, THE best game in vr that ive ever seen
Im having a lot of fun in this game, i can see the passion in the creation of this, all the elements of this game come together really well, and mechanics that are well thought out for this RPG. Great Job!
the dev actually joined my game and showed me a few things and gave me some neat items i am having a blast with this game soo far and can't wait for more to come with it
This is one of my favourite games. Steam didn't recommend it to me, despite being in some of my favourite categories. It only showed up in the full list of all VR titles. You can explore and level/gear up at your own pace, and there's around 40 hours of content at time of review. It has elements in common with Skyrim, but the feel is different. Combat is fast paced, but if like me you lack the reflexes, grinding levels and crushing everything works just fine. Dev is active and friendly.
I found the following things to keep yourself busy in this game: - Exploration - Questing (it needs some polish imo) - Grinding resources - Restoration of village(s?) - Looting and leveling yourself up - Finding secrets! - Creating spells - Refining equipment - Defend village from monster raids! - Inventory management :D - Killing birds with icebolts and holy beams! >:) - Sailing - Climbing is really well done - you can go almost anywhere! Also, there are some bugs and cons: - Game may crash if your headset go to sleeping mode - Items may just go through floor (but you can find these items in the special place after) - Inventory management is also a bit painful - you need to determine which things you may need along your adventure, and what to sell/throw away. No weapons/spells collection for me :( - Ore/food bags are a bit buggy, and when you try to insert ores/food there, it may just dissapear (the count of the items inside doesn't go up) - Questing in general seems a but clunky - if you've completed a quest chain, the game will still propose you to take the 1st quest from a chain - but as you've already completed it, you can't take it. I would like to see them marked as "completed" to avoid confusion =) In general, I recommend this game - it's so fun to play! Magic feels awesome, you are a real mage there! A lot of weapons to play with also :) Monsters and bosses variety inside. I believe this game has the only developer, so give this guy a cookie, he deserves it! :) Can't wait to see RFVR released from early access! Upd.: this game also has multiplayer, but I didn't have a chance to try it out yet - looking forward to it too!
