Return to Mysterious Island

Amazing game!! I adore old PC point and click adventure games so this one really hit the spot! Unfortunately tho.. I had to continue playing this outside of steam and open the game with just the .exe file because opening it from Steam the 2nd time I tried to play again after a break, it completely crashed every time! Maybe dont get it on Steam to be safe!

Un peux vieux mais nostalgique, je le recommande si vous aimez les point-and-click, Jule verne et les casse tête. <3

Mon tout premier jeu vidéo, un délice à refaire

A classic from another time, a standout in point-&-click adventure games, and an all-around great product! Some of the voice-acting is spotty, but that often just adds to the fun. Even the illustrations they use to cut corners & avoid rendering 3D cutscenes are artistically inspired & charming (and makes fanart that much easier to make, hehe). Overall, a win for both gamers & lovers of public domain fanfiction lol To play, you'll need to look at the file itself rather than the Steam page, which is disappointing in some ways -- no achievements, access isn't as easy as it ought to be, playtime isn't recorded -- but it does feel scrappy, like you're legitimately playing an old game. Plus it's easy to figure out how, especially if you're already looking through reviews for this game.

С детства обожала эту игру, чем старше становилась, тем более интересными находила детали этой игры. Помимо очень атмосферного мира безлюдного острова и отличной музыки эта игра захватывает своей продуманностью в деталях крафта. Хочешь сделать костер? У тебя несколько вариантов. Хочешь сделать батарею Вольта? Найди указания и сделай, всё есть. Хочешь провести ток через летающего змея? Да пожалуйста. Жаль, что первая часть такая короткая. Вторая часть, конечно, её дополняет, но там уже немного другая атмосфера.

Malgré son âge, le charme opère encore. 👉 Il mériterait clairement un remaster plus riche, idéalement avec Return to Mysterious Island II, pour moderniser l’ensemble et enrichir l’expérience. 🌿 Un petit classique discret qui mérite une seconde vie.

Хоч гра і стара, але запускається на Linux через Steam. Головне в налаштуваннях перед запуском примусово вибрати Proton. Єдиним нюансом, який замітила, були тонкі сині лінії в головному меню. І по об'єкту не появилася перлина, після поховання капітана. Все решту було ок

It was nice to play this game again. The latest update solved the crashing of the game. However I was not able to solve the problem of things moving too fast. The game is still playable, but especially later in the game there are some timed challenges which are made extra difficult by this. However, with some trying, I was still able to finish the game.

Super jeu qui nous plonge dans l'univers de Jules Vernes, il faut un minimum réfléchir mais ce n'est pas prise de tête. Je l'avais eu à l'époque de ça sortie, ayant de nouveau un PC je n'ai pas pus m'empêcher de le reprendre, et la magie opère toujours autant.
