Insanely Original Concept. Very good gameplay and puzzle-making, the difficulty is well done too ! The graphics are very unique, which gives the game an out of the box esthetic. The game is not very long but is worth the price, i'd give it a 10/10 for a puzzle game, one of the most unique detective game out there for sure !

Good game
An amazing game. Murder mystery done in the most interactive and cool way as possible, I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Also perfect to play with two people (one playing and the other watching and thinking along). I played with my girlfriend and we both loved everything.
Hmm... idk, the captain does look pretty sus to me
If you've ever wondered what it's like to wander the decks of an abandoned late 18th-century heavy-armed East India Trading Co. merchant vessel, then look no further -- 'Return of the Obra Dinn' is just the game for you. This game has everything: Magic pocketwatch: ✅ Book: ✅ Cutting-edge 20th-century gramphics: ✅ Shells: ✅ Monkey: ✅ Unsurprisingly, the game isn't too complicated. You go around a cursed the ship looking for clues and trying to fill in the blanks of how everyone disappeared. I only got ~20 hours of gameplay from this, but I'm not sure it needs much more than that. The game is really thoughtful about how the story and the puzzles are presented to the player, and gives the player quite a bit of freedom to explore and investigate without feeling overwhelmed by all the detail. I think my favorite thing about this game is how focused and synergistic it is; every single thing about this game feels like it deliberately works together. The game's center of gravity is the ship itself. They built a full replica of a real merchant vessel in the game, then centered every mechanic around revealing the secrets of that ship. This incidentally gives the player a vibrant picture of what life might have actually been like aboard one of these ships
(sea monsters notwithstanding)
. Instead of a huge lore dump at the beginning of the game, or some millennial-coded dweeb who won't stfu explaining things like
"BACK IN THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY, THE HIGHEST-RANKING SAILORS WORE COOL HATS"
, the gameplay itself reveals these details. As the player re-reads the little scraps of dialogue and re-visits the many memories aboard the ship, a picture of life at sea gradually begins to take shape in their mind. They learn the different roles aboard the ship, uniforms, sleeping arrangements, daily duties, social hierarchy, conflicts, dramas, everything. It happens naturally as a part of solving the game's puzzles -- in fact, doing so helps make solving the puzzles a lot easier, so whenever the player discovers something new about the ship, they know they're about to make more progress and peel back the onion a bit further. The story is revealed bit by bit, at the same pace as the puzzle is solved and the player's understanding of the ship deepens. The devs left some deliberate gates in the process to control the control of information a bit, but I think they struck just the right balance with this. After the first thirty minutes, the player has already been introduced to every mechanic in the game, and from then on out it's all about investigating. The overall arc of the gameplay is similar to that of a jigsaw puzzle, or maybe a sudoku game. Players naturally reach for the low-hanging fruit first, and with every piece solved, the remainder of the puzzle gets easier so by the end, all that's left is the hardest stuff, but there's so much context filled in by then that it's no longer particularly difficult. I thought this game was a joy from start to finish. It's not a huge, ambitious AAA game, but the devs set out to make one specific thing, and I'd say they nailed it.
comprei este produto pelo preço integral e ainda assim sinto que enganei o Lucas Pope.
