Return of the Obra Dinn

A very unique murder mystery! I enjoyed the creative premise and was surprised by some of the places they went with it. My least favorite part was that it expects you to guess a few identities off folks' accents, and playing a second time for the last achievement is painful when you have to wait a full minute in every scene, so if you want all the achievements remember to mark the silly "Captain Did It" one first. Otherwise, definitely worth a try.

Really cool investigation on the deaths of 60 crew members of a ghost ship. The story is good. You're a detective in 1807, and you have a magic pocket watch that allows you to wander into the scene of a victim's final moments. Use that to explore the surroundings of a death and collect clues about other crew members and what the hell is happening here. The graphisms are very ugly though. For me it was hard to start the game because of this. It took me time and two attempts to really be hooked more by the story than repulsed by the hideous graphisms. But don't worry, after a short time (like a half an hour into the game), you'll get used to it. Despite this huge flaw (imo, the game would have gained a lot with colors), the game is well worth your money. It's a great game that made me feel smart, and sometimes dumb. You'll need a sheet of paper and a pen. The ingame book is very useful, but some details will need your own notes like a true detective. There are clues everywhere, even small thinks like shoes. Won't say more. It took me around 15 hours of play to finish the game, but I was very slow. Had to return multiple times to some memories because I'm blind. Very good game!

Very nice game. Graphics are ugly, but the quest aspect is great. I can highly recommend this game to whoever likes investigation games without hand-holding. Good game.
