Retro Rewind - Video Store Simulator

Super fun, cozy game. Updates keep coming out, I love this game. Cant wait for the video game rental update. Played 100%, and still cant stop playing.

кароч игра интересная, но к 20 часам стало скучно дошёл я только до 16 уровня. в добавок мой перфекционизм убил мой интерес к этой игре. единственный минус для себя я выделил так это то что опыт с каждым разом всё тяжелее и тяжелее копится. если в начале чтобы тебе поднять уровень нужно поиграть 2-3 игровых дня на моём 20 часу на данный момент достижение уровня занимает 4 дня. мало контента как по мне. где то 10-15 часов казалось наоборот что его достаточно, но мне это только казалось. не хватает третьего рабочего и третьей профессии. а именно промоутера, который бы раздавал листовки. да я знаю что на каком то уровне открывается рекламные баннеры, но всё же большая часть вот этих вот ботов проходят мимо. а у сотрудников могло бы быть качество, которое с большим шансом мог бы завлекать покупателей в видеопрокат. потом я не понимаю как работает обработка жалоб. я думал типа ситуаций, когда клиент не довольно разбрасывает кассеты, вообще не будет а они до сих пор есть и достаточно часто. ещё было бы очень интересно прогулятся по этому городу, но это так просто мечта. ещё бы кстати я бы добавил бандитов которые бы воровали кассеты ну а вместе с ними ещё одного работника и профессию охранника. а так игру всем рекомендую просто на пару (а то может быть и не на пару) вечеров так чтоб расслабится

Outstanding game! For 80s and 90s kids, it will be a nostalgic good time. Fun little store sim and the devs are planning on adding much more!

So a bit about me- when I was a kid, I loved going to video rental stores. Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, smaller ones, you name it. I eventually wanted to even work at one, so when I was a teenager and we just happened to live about two miles away from a Blockbuster video, I applied. Multiple times. They FINALLY called in me for a group interview sometime around 2006 or 2007. At the time, they were pushing some ridiculous candy savings membership discount plan or whatever and you had to sell X amount of those as an employee as a quota or they'd fire you. Because I had no sales experience (or job experience at that point), they didn't hire me. I was hurt. Then vindictive, especially since all of my idiot friends kept getting hired by every Blockbuster store in the city. So when Blockbuster finally started closing up stores, selling off their DVDs and going out of business except for that one remaining one in Bend, OR that doubles as an AirBnb, I laughed a hellish, triumphant laugh at their demise. I still get a huge kick out of their death and wish nothing but piss on their grave (I do miss Redbox, though- I wish they had stuck around). Anyway, Retro Rewind -Video Store is a decent game that helped me get closure for a squashed childhood ambition of mine of finally working at a video rental store. You start out with a fairly small shop, but eventually get more videotapes through many different means (some illegal), unlock functions or attractions or services with XP points that you get from every checkout, and generally just build up a business overall. It's a fairly relaxing game with pretty basic ideas. There are multiple genres of videos with some hilariously thought out titles of movies and some hilariously spliced together titles of movies (Phantom Patrol, Hakuna Banana, Bad Dreams on Mel Rd, etc). The closest thing I can compare this to is PC Build Simulator, but I think PC Build Simulator had more challenge to it, as well as a slightly more interesting soundtrack. I think that's my only real complaint about this game- it's a little too easy. It's a little more difficult to run in the beginning of the game because you have to budget out everything, but so long as you give the customers what they want and enforce your late fee policy and keep expanding your store, you don't really lose at anything. The worst thing that happens is the occasional customer throws a tantrum about a late fee and pushes their tapes off the counter and onto the floor for you to pick up, but you'll still keep receiving old and new customers anyway, especially if you do the flyer thing. Overall, it's a decent nostalgia business simulator game that's fairly relaxing, but at the moment the content is such that the game is pretty easy to win at. If it pushes an update that makes you lose customers based off your store layout or the video selection or makes customer lose patience and leave for waiting in line too long, that might actually make the game more challenging. But at least it was good therapy for getting over those rat bastards at the Blockbuster that is now an Urgent Care not hiring me almost 20 years ago...

I don't know what it is about this game, but it's fantastic. Very addictive, lots to do - and doesn't seem to get old. The demo gives a good indication - give it a try!
